Fairness and accuracy didn't seem important to them when he was spouting his shite about us (mainly CL).

Yeah and it's perfectly fine to openly mock Austin McPhee for suggesting Hearts should be aiming to finish in the European places. Yeah, "get a life" ***** McPhee, the guy who's managing to attract Juventus, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Dortmund to a Hearts organised tournament.

He was fairly accurate with that though.

So MS was correct again?! Top 6, never mind top 4 was a pipe dream this season at the time.

And what’s organising a tournament got to do with our ability to finish in the top 4?

Anyway, good to see our best pundit has kissed and made up and looking forward to have him back on our screens instead of the racist Malky MacKay.

He's maybe accurate about Traynor too, allegedly.

Wasn’t the problem with Traynor that MS was making unsubstantiated claims that he was behind certain stories being leaked out in the media?  He may have been correct but presumably he doesn’t have any evidence or it would have been forthcoming by now?!

That's OK, you back the Beeb over our own employees if you want.

I’d back Trump over CL but keep your head in the sand.  Maybe he’ll come back and save the day.   Personally I support the team not individual employees and I don’t employ them anyway.

I don’t have much time for the BBC but I like MS as a pundit, it’s good to have someone who says it as he sees it.  Do you get as upset when any of your mates criticise anything HMFC related?

Time for a renewed Austin is wonderful because Michael O’Neil says so thread.

Listen, if you think McPhee deserved the level of abuse while other managers and caretakers at other clubs don't, that's up to you. Same goes for Levein. Heckingbottom, for example, was allowed to take Hibs backwards without a peep from the pundits. Gerrard is significantly under-performing at Rangers domestically, not a peep.

Just not quite sure why we’re revisiting this now when Austin hasn’t been seen or heard for months.

Because it relates to the BBC's double standards when it comes to pundits being "forthright but fair"?

Another example: The league is full of relatively inexperienced, non-Scottish managers. Only Hearts have been criticised for appointing a relatively inexperienced and non-Scottish manager. Other clubs have DoFs and SDs and pass. notes during games. Only Hearts are criticised for it.

They were spot on about McPhee. The guy is a self-serving joke.

I have emailed the BBC complains dept. Will report what they say in reply.

What a load of crap:

Thanks for contacting us regarding Michael Stewart’s comments on Sportsound on 3 February. Please accept our apologies for the delay in replying.

As set out in the BBC’s complaints process, if others complain about the same issue, for efficiency our response to everyone may be the same. We’re sorry not to reply individually, but we hope this response addresses the points raised.

On Sportsound on 4 February the programme carried the following apology and acknowledgement that the previous evening’s programme did not meet our editorial values and standards:

“We apologise to James Traynor for the discussion on Sportsound last night. It was not fair and balanced and he did not have the opportunity to respond.

“On this occasion we did not adhere to our editorial values and standards and we have reminded those concerned of their responsibility to follow our guidelines while working for the BBC.”

BBC Sport Scotland has also released the following statement:

“Following Sportsound on Monday February 3rd we have clearly explained the BBC editorial guidelines around fairness and accuracy to Michael Stewart. We expect our pundits to be forthright, but fair. Michael agrees with this. On that basis Michael is now available for selection for Sportscene and Sportsound.”

We trust this addresses your concerns, and thank you again for taking the time to get in touch.

They apologised to Traynor? They should hang their heads in shame.

Diadora Van Basten

Amazing how the BBC can have such high standards for fairness when it comes to Jim Traynor but others such as Vlad and Miko are fair game.

I can’t see how anyone can be spoke about on the radio if they have a right to reply which means they have to be in the studio.

Just usual weedgia logic.

I back the team not an individual employee who have driven our team to the edge of relegation.
