We have another Cathro

The team he took over were in freefall, terrible to watch, unmotivated, slow, disinterested and lacking any positivity. He had little time in between games to really get his ideas across and was just a chance to see who he could rely on.

For me his term started properly after the winter break,so I ask

have we seen an improvement?  Yes

Have we been more entertained? Yes

Have we seen an increase in tempo? Yes

Do the players look motivated? Yes

Does the team look more positive? Yes

There will be blips, he needs time to get the team drilled but I fully believe he is making a massive difference already.

As for the Cathro comparison, that is lazy and unjust, the only thing they have in common is they have "a philosophy of football" unfortunately for Cathro he lacked the basic skills to communicate it, had no leadership, no charisma and no strength of will to impose it. Our Daniel has all of that in abundance and it looks as though the players are buying into it

To temper it a wee bit, I had my doubts about the all out attack approach.  It was not so much about Stendel, more about not having the proper tools with which to implement it - I think the comment I made was around square pegs in round holes.  In the last two games, we have seen the all out attack not abandoned, but modified, and it appears to have worked.  I am more than happy to give Stendel and his coaches all the credit they are due for addressing an issue that a lot of fans were commenting on.  What we have now appears to suit the players we have - excellent management.

Yeah

It takes time. Some people these days expect instant success.

Not having pre season is always difficult. January transfer signings often don't have a quick impact.

Positive progress. Next few games to confirm that.

Surely it's in everyone's best interests to actually get behind the club and Stendel, during this difficult period rather than slate the club and Stendel for ****sake.

I beginning to wonder if people seriously want to see us relegated, just to say told you so fecking pathetic, call yourselves Hearts supporters man embarrassing.

Do people really want us to be playing Championship football next season?, we have been through the shit and back and survived before why, because in my opinion we have the best fans in the world.

when this club was on it's knees and time's were looking dark how did we get by? By being defiant Heart of Midlothian football club and all sticking together and taking the blows that came along.

Just like this man says in this video this is a call to arms

The club needs us all Now!!!.

And we are going nowhere without one hell of a fight!!.

**** this is I'm out, cut me open and I bleed maroon.

Now we have momentum let's give it everything again on Saturday against motherwell, Gorgie Rules 🇱🇻

He’s a dud. Here comes the championship. It’s taken 3 weeks for coaches to suss Stendel out and he’s clueless.

Even Cathro took 4 off Rangers.

Massive games against St Mirren and Motherwell coming up. If we can take 4-6 points from those games the corner has been turned and the Stendel train can build some irrepressible momentum. The run of the mill Premiership games are the games we’ve struggled in for a long long time. Huge test coming up.

It's amazing how the more prominent posters on this thread have gone AWOL.

Even more so, the Levein backers are absolutely silent now.

thats just not true at all , most are fully behind Stendel. Can only think of 2 who aren’t that post regularly.

With the brucey bonus that if he does win those games, you will have been made to look like a prize chump.

Not so. Stendel has adapted his system to play in Scotland. That has taken a while to begin to work, the litmus test is the games we should  win. I think the only folk who will look like chumps are those who genuinely believed we had the 12th best squad and that Stendel had inherited a terrible squad. The last two games have shown our players are a match for anyone, if played in the correct positions with the correct system and tactics.

I agree, which makes the previous manager a chump, by logical thought process.

Admitting that the doubts I was starting to have about Stendel were unfounded, will not only be an easy thing to do, it will be enjoyable.

He needs to keep it going because we are simultaneously still deep in the shit in the league, and on the event horizon of a chance at a cup.

Its ****ing madness, and I want us to complete the job on both fronts... even if it’s just to create a tearful happy ending to this ******* documentary! 😀

I think that's closer to the truth. Ross seems to have a similar mindset of trying to eke out wins and consolidating when you are ahead. It's not pretty and he's fortunate at the moment to have some decent attacking players who can get the goals against the lesser sides. Would be interesting to see how they would cope wit a few injuries to key players like we've had.,,

I see you've still got your finger on the pulse of all things Hearts and those who support her.

Honestly, Mr E, you're so out of touch you may as well be on the moon.

Cwaigywaigy has gone. Digest it, accept it, choke back a tear, if you must, and step forward into the future with rest of the support.

It's Stendel time, Mr E.
