£67 and no Salah, Firmino or Sane

£67 and lose 0-3

£67 to see Henderson and Milner strutting their stuff.

This has quite honestly made my weekend :rofl::rofl:

I wonder what made people think this game would be worth these prices.

Friendlies are just that no matter what teams are playing.

If they had been charging a tenner at the most I might have been tempted but clearly there are lots of people with more money than sense.

Be interesting to know how many locals attended.

I suppose they will need that size of crowd at inflated prices to cover the combined wage bill of these teams.😕

Definitely.

It was mentioned earlier that Murrayfield are looking at the CL final. That is a stretch but perhaps the Europa is feasible?

Good to see Hampden being roundly ignored anyway.

Meantime I think one of these games will be on the agenda as a regular.

Who knows maybe Real Madrid v Arsenal or something.

Presumably UEFA can’t go anywhere near that without the SFA’s blessing?  Which I can’t see being given.

Got complimentary tickets, Liverpool were dreadful and Insigne was tearing them apart.

Just glad to be watching a game of football tbh

£67 for a friendly

I paid about £30 a ticket in the upper west on the half way line and was a good afternoon out. Closest I will get to the European Cup and well organised. Napoli were fantastic to watch.

That's a given. Why would you even feel bad that an English team lost a friendly

28 bucks though

How were your emotions, did you feel a connection to the training game taking place?

Was the big shiny silver trophy nice in the flesh?

Im not quite getting what the irony is supposed to be here.

Neither Hampden, Ibrox or Parkhead, our 3 biggest football stadiums, hold as much as Murrayfield so Im not really sure how any of them could beat this 'record'.

Strange prices, im just back and paid £51 all in for  an adult and two under 16 tickets. Napoli where very good, moved the ball well and the performance of the wee left winger Insigne was worth the entry fee alone.

Apologies for enjoying a game of football. Didn’t realise you could only attend when your team was playing but will bear that in mind. Hopefully I am wrong but probably more enjoyable than the Ross County game will be.

I think he's suggesting that Murrayfield should have been though.

Hampden holds or held the record attendance for a European Cup Final in 1960 when over 130 thousand attended the Real Madrid v Eintracht Frankfurt final.

It was live on TV which was a rare treat back then.

I always thought it strange the Hampden  redevelopment settled for a capacity as low as 52,000.

That’s not true is it?  Thought our 61,000 last season v Celtic was the biggest crowd for 30 years?

I had a ticket for the East Fife game but couldn’t make it.

Paid £28 for my ticket today to see the European champions, not the worst game I’ve seen, however, Liverpool had no cutting edge without their front three.

Don’t do friendlies usually but this was a one off. Decent atmosphere at the game until Napoli scored.

Tory government renaged on a promise to fund redevelopment of Hampden into 70 thousand all seater Stadium.

So we had to make do and mend.

It's kickback. Remember it's for arseholes.

Nice touch at the end of the game with the lap of thanks. Handed out lots of merchandise to the young ones at the front who were clearly thrilled. That makes the aggregate score 5-3 from the pre-season games so LFC win again.

At a time when Scottish football is skint people are happy to boost the bank accounts of mega rich English/foreign clubs by paying inflated prices for entry to an exhibition match.

If Hearts asked for an extra tenner for a big match the fans would kick up ****.

It all about personal choice of course but it's not mine.

Some football fans nowadays are no better than starstruck teenagers at a pop concert.

Football at our level is heading down the shitter.  TV and big business have taken over.

Captain Canada

I sat in the Napoli section and really enjoyed the game. Also paid nowhere near £67.

Liverpool looked unfit and were poor all over the pitch.

You should be ashamed of yourself - going to watch a game of football with some excellent players on display and enjoying it! Btw, really enjoyed watching Napoli but they should start hoofing it as brilliant passing and moving is totally overrated!!

I always love the indignation of the plastic English club supporters when they're called out. Nobody is saying that you don't have the right to go, nobody is saying that you can't enjoy yourself. Just that you're a plastic fan, not that you'll ever admit it obviously.

Anyone go to the so called fanzone?

Arrivedat 130pm to discover

1. No bar or alcoholic drinks sold

2. Photos with champions league cup queue had closed by 2pm.

3. Was nothing there but food stalls and a singer

Worse thing was once in there you couldn't get out without losing your ticket.

Missed a trick there as loads of families there who never go to football.  Big disappointment

So you enjoy laying into some fellow Hearts fans then

The childish 'plastic' insult is just that... an insult from a child.

I'm happy to say I like football, happy to say I also like football from other sides rather than my own (and please don't act silly and say it's not Hearts) and I'm happy to say that only my own side gives me that little bit extra in terms of feelings both up and down when watching live or otherwise.

I do though follow Liverpool for many reasons including family reasons and have done so for decades and am happy when they win but it's not the same as Hearts (but it is more than any other club side).  There will be quite a few posters on here who are like that (though of course there may be other teams involved)

Not always of course but often it's a basic insecurity that posters who talk about plastic fans have as they seek to feel better about themselves by taking out life's frustrations on others and seeking that little bit of support from small groups who really are no more than trolls but they have that comfort blanket they seek to make themselves feel better.

Help is out there , seek it and build up enough confidence in yourself that you'll no longer need to 'attack' those fans and why is it you and others never call out the 'plastic' Napoli, Roma, Real Madrid or Barcelona fans for example ..is it just an anti anything English thing ?
