Tynieman
Another incident... This time he's apparently knocked another manager's two teeth out. Boy is an absolute thug.

Unknown user
An argument sparked off by Harry Souttar being sent off, the opposition manager then called him a ****ing scally, and Barton's head butted him, punched him and grabbed him by the throat. That'll show him he's no scally!

Tommy Brown
South Yorkshire Police have arrested a man in relation to an incident at League One Barnsley on Saturday. The man attended a police station on Wednesday where he was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence and racially aggravated assault. He remains in custody for questioning. Police, who earlier appealed for witnesses to an incident in the tunnel at Oakwell following the match against Fleetwood, said enquiries were ongoing. Does that mean a bit "German b*****d" thrown in for good measure? Or is this an unconnected incident. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47963144 Edited April 17, 2019 by Tommy Brown

rudi must stay
Well his career is certainly over Lucky for him he's in football or he'd be in jail (Assuming it's true, let's be honest it's not out of character though). At least Lennon has the "actually he's a nice guy off the pitch", no one says that about Barton, and I think he's sneaky too which is a bad trait in a person. So aye basically I'll repeat what others have said

Cruyff Turn
Stendal is the guy I want as next Hearts manager. Barton was too big of an arsehole even for Rangers, which says a lot.
maroonsgotop
Presumably Barton arrested and in custody "A man has been arrested following an alleged altercation between Fleetwood boss Joey Barton and Barnsley head coach Daniel Stendel at Oakwell. The man attended a police station on Wednesday where he was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence and racially aggravated assault. He remains in custody for questioning".

Tommy Brown
Surprised Fleetwood have not put him on gardening leave, yet. I doubt they can sack him yet pending police enquiry. From their website Fleetwood Town have been made aware of an alleged incident following Saturday’s game against Barnsley. We are currently establishing the facts and will not make any further comment at this time.

By denying it Fleetwood won’t sack him as you correctly point out he’s presumed innocent at this time. Would guess he will see out the season then leave the club before any trial begins. haveyouheard 22
Anywhere Barton goes shit happens, he wont change but some cant see past him Even tried to sneak out the car park when it was patently obvious stewards and a Police officer were trying to stop him, guy has no shame

OTT
Thought Barton might have that drive to win that all successful managers have. Its a shame though that he can't tow the line of acceptable behaviour (allegedly ?) . He's really let himself and Fleetwood down, doubtful any serious team will touch him if he cannot control his emotions (regardless of provocation). Should maybe just keep to media work if he can find someone willing to pay him.

sandyk
BBC article.. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49013849 Joey Barton: Fleetwood Town manager charged with actual bodily harm Fleetwood Town manager Joey Barton has been charged with causing actual bodily harm following a post-match incident in the tunnel at Barnsley on 13 April. Police say the incident, after the Tykes beat Fleetwood 4-2 in a League One game at Oakwell, left a man with facial injuries. Barton has previously "emphatically denied" accusations he confronted Barnsley manager Daniel Stendel. The 36-year-old has been bailed until 9 October 2019. Barnsley complained to the Football Association and English Football League in April about the incident. At the time, South Yorkshire Police also appealed for any witnesses with footage of the incident to come forward.
