Cambo
Seeing Sunderland flying high in league one, arguably a better standard than majority of Scottish premiership and then watching a wonderful Wolves side tonight, you can't help but consider two ex Hearts employees are key to what these sides are doing. Meanwhile we are subject to one abject performance after another by crap players who appear to have no ability, little application and desire to get results for our great club. Seems to me that those making decisions at our club are out their depth and wholesale changes are needed. In short, we had talented coaches at club whose ideas obviously clashed with levein and co and look who is flourishing now. Certainly not us. Thommo414
Cathro at Wolves isn't the manager, nor do Hearts have anywhere near the money that Wolves have managed to spend. If this had just been a thread about Jack Ross going onto better things then maybe, not this though...
Cambo
How many of our current employees, players or coaches, would attract interest from Premier League clubs? It was a disaster, yes but perhaps we should look at the bigger picture and ponder why, as the guy clearly has something as does jack ross. Our current cohort is bereft of any talent. Cruyff Turn
Cathro is obviously good coach/good analyst. Never a manager in a month of Sunday’s and it was a huge mistake to employ him as such. Jack Ross probably would have been Hearts manager had he not been getting happy endings from the physio.

Inch Hearts
Can’t it ever be questioned why Jack Ross was emptied by the club? Hes came out before and said it was because him and Levein didn’t have the same footballing philosophy. Him being the chosen one then leaving looks like a complete disaster now. BigAlim
Ian Cathro is statistically the worst manager in our history, oversaw two transfers in which we completely ripped apart a team that was sitting in second place on the back of a third place finish. If it wasn't for the games before he became manager then we would have been sitting in 9th at the end of that season with international footballers with bundesliga/ligue 1 experience etc. The boy set us back years and Levein had to pick up the pieces. Levein has done well to stop the rot and instill the level of professionalism that he has done, regardless I believe that he's taken us as far as he ever will now and its time for a change. But Cathro ffs? Had the authority of a mouse and I haven't even gone into his league Cup group escapades or the worst Derby performance from us in decades

Hell turn up in the dugout of a top team in a top game and everyone watching will say the same thing "WTF is he doing there?" SectionG
Can only really judge people on what they do whilst at the club, that’s why they either stay with the club or move on. There are reasons these 2 have moved on, not that that belittles their achievements since, but neither were the right fit for the club. On the other hand another person involved in that Wolves victory tonight, Matt Doherty realised just after full time on 19/05/12 that Hibs were not the right fit for him and declared it to that Irish lad interviewing the players, subsequently his career is now on the rise. If you think Cathro has any significant input to what is happening at Wolves then you are off your rock. He is A coach at Wolves - one of many. He has the same seniority he had at Newcastle - not much, so can we please forget about Cathro. He had his chance , he failed. CL appointed him , he would have done it sooner (in is own words) and Cathro was given free rein. He wrecked the club. And CL hates being associated with that.
