The worling mens club concept is a dying one and people are looking for different forms of entertainment these days.

Very busy place on matchdays, this is very bad news.

Not impacted by the fan’s bar then? Same problem at Merchie Hearts ( and the fan’s bar ) - busy on match days and quiet the rest of the time.

I think that was possibly the problem, i.e. that the only time the club was busy was on those days when HMFC were playing at home.

Fans bar too expensive, takes forever to get served & very small, not enough seats so the p.o club was always a better place to go to.was at an 18th in the club last night & heard about it happening.

If run correctly, they should be a proper alternative to pubs. The BMC is a good example.

Sad movies. My favourite pre match pint! Not sure where to head now. Writing was probably on the wall when they got rid of Sky football on the telly.

jambos are go!

Given that Anne has said that they are looking to utilize vacant areas of the new stand then surely there is scope for the Warders Club and the Merchie  to discuss options with the Club. Even the BMC. They may have equity in their property to trade.

Would seem a possibility though merging different membership ‘cultures’ could be tricky.

The Merchiston Hearts club have cut their cloth accordingly and are doing very well, closed for a few days when their isn't any demand .Id also add that much of the Merci's resurgence is due to a specific group of volunteers who freely give up their own time for the good of the club and its members.
