Goodfella
Has been mentioned by BBC as a candidate for the now HOTLY CONTESTED Hearts managerial position, along with er, Zygmantovich and Santini. Is Lothar gonna be linked with the Hearts job every year? Maybe Vlad should just get it over with and appoint him, just to get him out of the way. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/h/heart_of_midlothian/7469733.stm

If appointed I would love it if he went against the grain of his managerial past and delivered results but I can't see it.

Jam Tarts 1874
It is an odd story from the BBC website. It seems as if they have finally decided to join in with the speculation, no-one else has mentioned Matthaus this year as far as I can make out. Perhaps someone will go and get a quote from him "I am always interested in speaking to...........blah"

Goodfella
when was that mentioned mate? Yea it's in the link, but also he seems to be linked everytime Hearts are left managerless...I thought he was managing Salzburg in Austria but he must have left them... Still think BBC are just putting his name in to take up their word count on the article.
