Fair enough if it was although maybe they should commission the use of some of the fan art, that’s awful it’s just a pic of Kings Landing imposed onto the Fist of the First Men from the closing scene of s2 But aye, cannae wait for it to come back, or at the least for a proper trailer to come out (maybe Christmas time) not HBO just teasing us with clips from previous seasons (and plugging a rewatch of them).
Jambothump Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 Crivvens, most of cast if not dead, will be pensioners then. Enjoyed this and Peaky Blinders, but too long between the last series and up and coming.

AlimOzturk Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 To rewatch the whole programme before or not. Would have to pretty much sacrafice two weeks of my life to do so. ?

Guest Paul Allen Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 I quite like the look of this and I'll watch it when it starts in April. Having missed the Seasons 1-7 can someone kindly fill me in with the storyline so far?

Cade Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 Alive: Jon Snow Sansa Stark Arya Stark Brandon Stark Jaime Lannister Cersei Lannister Tyrion Lannister Daenerys Targaryen Sandor "The Hound" Clegane Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane Brienne of Tarth Tomrund Gianstbane Sam Tarly Davos Seaworth Bronn Gendry Baratheon Theon Greyjoy Jorah Mormont Lord Varys Grey Worm Missandei Almost anybody else of note is dead.
Tazio Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 Tyrion is going to be a main player in this, there's already been a couple of examples of how he can be with dragons and it's hinted at again in the trailer. Possibly meaning he has Targaryon blood.

Cade Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 The Tyrion thing is explored a bit more in the books and background lore. The Mad King Aerys took liberties with Tywin Lannister's wife Joanna during their wedding (and possibly even before that as she was a handmaiden to the Queen) and it's possible that this continued afterwards and that all three Lannister children (Cersei, Jaime and Tyrion) are all Aerys' kids. That may explain Cersei and Jaime's incest as this is a Targaryen trait.

Tazio Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 If Cersei keeps her kit on for the whole series I’ll be sad.

Hopefully, he's been a bit of a spare part recently and the patter he comes out with aint half as good now D&D have to come up with it and not use the material already written by GRRM

I get what you mean. There is only 7 years separating us though and she's about to marry someone a year younger than me. Wonder if they have had this discussion?!

I tried vikings, 3 seasons in fact! everyone promised it was great. I like vikings, pirates etc I love an action adventure. It 'looks' really good. I SHOULD of liked it. But the acting in vikings was so wooden. B-rate a lot of it, imo. There was neither particularly likeable or devious characters and the plot was paint-by-numbers (viking wants to become leader, viking wants to invade this place etc etc A-B-C it just wasnt gripping.) Game of thrones has spoiled us in that sense with its multiple plot layers. after forcing myself through multiple seasons i gave up. Thought vikings was dug keek to be blunt. Only thing that is up there for me is Black Sails (great twists, good cast and probably some of the best character development over a tv series i've seen)
