Just like to lend my support to Robbo's first at Tannadice in April 1986.

We will never see his likes again. :(

Favourite: 'Davy's Mazy' v Rangers in the Scottish Cup, 94/95 to make it 4-2.

.

Kevin Thomas finished it with aplomb.

JC scored a cracker against Dundee, Hallowe'en 1987 iirc, a flowing move and I'm sure his back was to goal, he spun and shot.

Naysmith's against Aberdeen 98 as has been mentioned.

JC, again, against Celtic at Tynie. McNeill called it a fluke.

Robbo v Rangers c.84 - two nil down then goals from O'Connor & Robbo secured a 2-2 draw. Sort of scissors kick iirc.

Ironically he doesn't.

Good choice.

Buffalo Bill

I meant to say Robbo's first goal although both were fantastic as was JC's volley the week before.

Another fabulous goal was Mikey Cameron v Aberdeen in a 4-1 victory Aug 97 and also Allan Johnston v Motherwell in a 4-0 win Dec 95.

Ernie Winchester thunderbolt against Dundee in a 5-2 defeat at Tynie in seventies is the hardest I have ever seen a ball being hit. I was behind Thomson Allan before he could smell it.

If I had to choose, it would be Austin McCanns screaming winner against the mhanks, how good did that feel? :P

I asked Robbo about this on a BBC phone-in a few years ago and he went for his first against Hibs. My favourite of his (and probable all-time favourite) was his first at Tannadice in '86.

Others not far behind....

Austin McCann v Selick - counter-attacking football with pace and accuracy.

Jose Quitongo v Selick - just for the celebration.

Any of the goals v Leipzig on what was the best night EVER at Tynecastle.

Fuller's run.

Adam in Cup Final

Ferguson v Bayern

Weir to make it 4-4 v Hibs

and, more recently....

Pospisil v Dons (Aug/Sept 06)

Miko's belter v Selick.

Velicka in League Cup at Parkhead

You forgot to add that he hit it from out on the touchline... he was playin left back that day, on the coldest wettest day ever... and that it was still rising as it hit the back of the net

Didn,t somebody else score long range that day as well, Donald Park in his second spell maybe?

It's a fairly recent goal but I can't see anyone else having mentioned it yet.

Hartleys penalty against Aberdeen to secure 2nd place. Not a "wonder" goal by any means, but what it meant to the players and support as a whole is something I'll never forget.

... good memory... it was donald park a volley/half volley from a stuart maclaren knock down.. shooting into the wind/rain/snow/sleet delete as appropriate.

... but still nowhere as good as george cowies strike but not a bad alternative

I had a lot of time for Cowie as a player but unfortunatly Doddie didn,t and prefered to play Kidd all the time!

For the sheer WTF moment that it was, it has to Iain Ferguson's free kick against Bayern.

The only time I can recall Tyney coming close to being as mental as that was the final whistle against Aberdeen when we secured 2nd spot.

Does anyone remember Juanjo's against Fulham in a pre-season friendly about 8 or 9 years ago? Cracker. 2 nil down and came back to win 3-2. IIRC he was involved in all 3 goals.

Stan Collymore played for Fulham that day 2!

George Cowie,s rocket from the left back position on the halfway line at a soaking wet windy Muirton Park.It flew past McDonald the St Johnstone goalie like an exocet missile. I think it was on hogmonay 1983. I,ve seen all the great goals from about 1970, but this one was hard to beat.

What a player he was!!!!!!!

Velicka's 2nd at Parkhead.

Also anyone remember a Scott Crabbe long-ranger vs Goram/Rangers in the opening mins at Tynie from the early 90's?

Has anyone else noticed that teams like Falkirk, Motherwell, Dundee Utd, Aberdeen etc. all have LOADS of good original BBC/STV highlights of matches on Youtube while we have hardly any? We only seem to have homemade music video ones!! Someone must have old Sportscene vids to upload..... Check it out, it's odd.

Really hard question.

I loved wee JC's in the 86 semi against Utd. I was too young to remember anything about 76 and given the ten years in between couldn't believe we were finally going to the Final.

It was a cracker, right? In my mind it is but I don't think I've seen it again since.

More recently I loved Janny's goal in The Semi. Ruthlessly dispatched and his controlled celebration signified that it was game over.

Robbo at Motherwell. Midweek, hardly anyone there. Won 1-0.

JC's lob in a 2-0 win at ER wins for me though.

Was that the goal that Rudi played the ball across the park from the half way line for Janny to knock it home? If it is, that is one of the best Hearts goals Ive seen.

My real favourites listed above already. Honourable mention for Juanjo's goal in the derby win that put us into Europe in 2000. Appears here just before the 3 minute mark.

Hartley's first in the Semi, great fun, final touch was pure class

Pinilla's at Pittodrie, one touch football, great team goal

Robbo's record equalising goal at Tynie against Rangers, must have ran about 20 yards and took on at least 2 players before slotting home

All of the previously mentioned goals were brilliant. Does anyone remember that useless waste of space Dennis McQuade scoring away at Aberdeen from about 30+ yards. I think it was 1978, Derek O'Connor made his debut that day.

Yes, and O'Connor scored too. False down though, another relegation.
