tazhearts
I would love us to appoint Darren Ferguson (Sir Alex's laddie). Managing in the 2nd division so surely would be tempted by a bigger salary in the SPL. We could get all Man UTD's promising youngsters in loan! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darren_Ferguson Or what about a bit of experience in old Archie Knox? We could do a lot worse IMHO. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archie_Knox and finally (not scottish I know but the son of another managerial legend) what about Nigel Clough? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigel_Clough

Sergio Garcia
What about a combination of DF and AN, AN worked with Sir Alex so maybe the connections are there to implement a wee dream team. That would certainly appeal to me!!!! But then again..............its not up to me, Vlad you listening?
john brownlee
I dont care about BU ES HB UR or whoever is going to be our next manger muppet puppet or whatever Mr Romanov pulls the strings whether we like it or not thats the way it is. so get your heads out of your eerses and take a reality pill. (everybody makes mistakes now and again so give him a bit of lea way )) Hes the one that owns Hearts so lets support him like we did when he gave us the cup and the best season many of us have seen in many along year. A cup win every few years and maybe a chance to split the squirm now and again will do me fine .Once I've had that privilage two or three more would do me fine. Ask a hobo how they would feel Some people dont know a gift horse even when it kicks them in the face come on guys get back on the happy train. kjc2006
Since apparently Alex Ferguson had a hand in talking Mark McGhee out of coming to Hearts I can't see his some coming. Knox isn't a manager and probably never will be. I think he is the sort of person who will always be someone elses assistant. I dont know enough about Clough to comment. Alan_R
Dareen Ferguson is doing a decent job, seems pretty level headed as well. Plus im sure he has good guidance from ferguson senior. ...so do you really think Darren Ferguson would touch the hearts job right now with a barge pole? he has more sense than that. I can see where you are coming from (ish) but under the present shambles the hobos are more likely to have a cup win every 2 or 3 years than we are, which seems to be the point that you are missing. Since 06 Hearts have not just stumbled, we have sprinted backwards. The happy train departed a long time ago....... Onto the thread point though, Archie Knox? Not a bad shout although is he proven as a number 1? I genuinely dont know and cant be arsed googling it.

Plus im sure he has good guidance from ferguson senior. ...so do you really think Darren Ferguson would touch the hearts job right now with a barge pole? he has more sense than that. it makes a lot of sense imo. It's a big step-up from managing in the 2nd Division and if he does well it's a chance to go to the Premiership. It makes sense for us as well cos i'm sure he'd be far cheaper than someone like Santini. Makes too much sense for us though
Jambo83
Darren Ferguson has too much "off-the-field baggage" for my liking, we've got plenty of that already at Tynecastle / Riccarton

Maybe we should sign Paul Dalglish because of his dad's legendary status, or his sister Kelly, she's Kenny's daughter surely she could do a job for us. Frankly this is a pointless thread, the only 'Scottish' 'Manager' we are going to get is Stevie fokin Frail.

Ibrahim Tall
Peterboroughs new chairman stated just before Ferguson arrived that his aim was the premiership within so many years, they've sinse paid out pretty big fees for that level and have plans for a new bigger stadium London Road. Ferguson won't walk out on that to work under a headcase with a history of intefering in the team and sacking staff who are performing. Nigel Clough's a non-starter aswell, only reason he's still at Burton is because he doesn't want to move his family.
Westendorfer
I would be surprised if HMFC were able to offer him a bigger salary that he is on just now, given Posh's ambitions. After previously appointing a sex offender as manager, it would something else to bring in a guy who pleased guilty earlier this year to assaulting his wife. Anything's possible under Vlad I suppose.
