do you reckon Vlad would want to spend in the transfer window? and who still thinks he's a realistic signing target for hearts? Rangers knock back 2.5m from cardiff for Boyd!

I think that there will be greater incomings (ie Bednar) than outgoings (plane fares from Lithuania).

Vlad won't spend big this summer, remember he has a new stand to pay for!

That's just getting dumped on the already crippling debt. A club with a turnover of ?10m and debt soon to be ?80m. Wonder if that's why Vlad focuses on his other ventures more

The income from the new development will be significant and it will go to Hearts because it will be Hearts who will have borrowed the money and therefore Hearts who will be the owners. Also if Hearts want to sell any of the new facilities to another group at some point down the line, again that money will be Hearts' money.

The cost of building commercial property is nothing compared to the long term returns from rental income and the selling off of these developments once they are a going concern. That's how property development works you know.

Do you seriously think that the new development is actually going to be owned by Heart of Midlothian Football Club?

Ooh, well aren't you Donald Trump

Romanov will spend hee-haw on transfers, if he can't attract a decent manager, he's no hope with players. Most (bar the desperate) will see Hearts as a very risky career move I'd imagine.

True, the income from the commercial side will be significant, but recouping the money spent will be a long term project. With a debt approaching 80m pounds (?), surely much of this income would be spent servicing the interest payments and not really paying off the debt.

I remain to be convinced that the project will go ahead at all to be honest, and think that before spending 50m on a new stand, we should get our current affairs in order- ie getting a manger with full control, and a product on the park that people will want to come and watch. You could argue that you have to speculate to accumulate, but where's the sense in having a 25k stadium and only 10k supporters prepared to come and watch the match.
