Better hope Michael Stewart and Steven Thomson agree it was only worth a yellow.

As that will have a big bearing on any appeal.

Trial by Sportscene. As laughable as it is depressing.

Yep, and my betting is one will say cast iron red, the other could have been red

Wasn't dangerous, Shinnie seemed to react like it was a run of the mill foul. Aberdeen players and fans reaction clearly influenced Cheaton. Should use footage of Brown's straight leg, studs up tackle yesterday which resulted in a yellow as part of our defence.

Can't see it being upheld, you see that kind of tackle in almost every game and it's always a yellow, foolish but not a red

Refs are not refereeing game as they see it

Too influenced by 'reputations'. Lafferty is clearly a marked man.  He does need to watch his elbows but his competitve nature is pretty fair.

Just as Hearts are a marked team!

I see fouls being committed by other players in other teams and - zilch!

Put on a Hearts jersey and it's a yellow!

Our ratio of yellow cards to fouls committed is ridiculous and, remember Madden, even a lot of the fouls weren't even fouls, partly fuelled by the likes of Lennon, seeking to unfairly influence the officials before the cup tie.

That would definitely be a red for a Hearts player.

Luckily they referee Old Scum matches differently. Or Brown differently!

Almost as bad as mob rule refereeing.

Yup , match officials referee the game when other teams are involved, they referee Hearts when they are involved .

red should be rescinded, if not it just proves what we already know.

Identical tackle made in an English game this weekend, think it might have been the Man City game.

Yellow card.

I remember that tackle but I don’t think that was the one I was thinking of.

Only one I can find from this weekend.

It might well have been that one then. Struggling to remember the exact challenge, but either way there’s always a possibility.

Steven Thompson thinks that Denny Johnstone tackle was only a yellow, there is no chance he will say Lafferty's was a red ..... or will he

Red card all day long.

If another teams player wiped out a player with a tackle like that, we would be going apeshit.

Utterly stupid tackle

"Definite red" according to Sportscene pundits. BBC taking a consistent line.

Nature and history of SFA appeals it will be downgraded to yellow.

Not a chance that’s getting successfully appealed.

No worse than Harry's on McGinn; yellow. No worse than Brown's on the Rangers player earlier; yellow. Noticed that Sportscene never showed the assault on Berra; no surprise there mind.
