Cash gates will be in operation for Hearts fans this evening as the Jambos face Raith Rovers in the William Hill Scottish Cup.

The fourth-round replay kicks-off at 7.45pm and fans who have yet to buy tickets for the home end can pay on the night at eight of the Gorgie Stand?s turnstiles.

Please note that only these turnstiles, in the Gorgie Stand, will be pay at the gate, all other turnstiles in the other stands remain ticketed.

Fans who have already purchased tickets are asked to enter the stadium via the relevant turnstile printed on their match ticket, in order to alleviate congestion at the Gorgie Stand turnstiles.

Turnstiles open at 6.45pm.

Good move. Best to avoid the Gorgie turnstiles if you already have a ticket as I would expect it to be pretty busy.

Just hope the seats are pre allocated and not a free for all, as I've got my seat in the gorgie already for tonight.

Cue the carnage as pay at the gaters sit in cherished season ticket holders seats.

They had a chance to get their ticket and seat online or phone.

If they have left it that long then what do they expect?

Hearts issue tickets with seat numbers at least they have previously

Presume you'll be given a ticket when you go in for a specific seat?

The girl at ticket office said 7k tickets had been sold at 5pm last night. Would imagine around a further 500-1000 from walk ups and ticket purchases today, plus a few hundred Raith. Looking at around 8k attendance?

Ah, that explains it. Cheers.

It can be a shambles at away games with cash gates and allocated seats mixing

According to the website the ticket office closes tonight at 6.45pm? Does that mean that those of us planning to collect our tickets before the match will have to have done so before 6.45?

The ticket office will close at 6.45pm. Anyone arriving after that time can collect pre-purchased tickets from the Main Stand reception
