Lost the first game, with the defending champions still to go.

I'm not sure how many go through, but guessing it isn't 4.  Safe to say he'll be back on the 2nd.

Djoum unused substitute again

Odds on neither player from us getting on the pitch? Remember some saying how good this was for the club. Miss important games here for keeping clean a wee part of a huge bench there.

One thought on the 48 team World Cup after the early games here. There might be less cautious early games.

Aye, especially if FIFA go ahead with making every game have a positive result, with drawn group games going to ET and pens for the 3 points.

Every game will matter.

Malinga the Swinga

I know it is important to African countries, but this tournament is horse shit from a neutral point of view. The standard seems very low, even lower than previous African tournaments, with very few quality players and very low attendances.

Even the Euros last year, which were not the most exciting, were a mile ahead of this garbage.Shame we are missing Djoum and Rherras for basically a paid vacation.

Nae idea why I'm still watching this joke of a tournament.

Tunisia are 3-0 up on Zimbabwe after 30 mins and playing to three men and a dug

Morocco v Ivory Coast 7pm

Rherras getting familiar with the bench here, might make Sowah playing ahead of him a bit easier to take

Rherras comes back if (1) Ivory Coast beat Morocco or (2) if they draw and Togo beat DR Congo by at least 4 goals, or by 3 if Togo scores 3 goals more than Morocco (eg 3-0 Togo, 0-0 Morocco, 4-1/1-1 etc).

As I type, DR Congo 1-0 up.

It's likely now that only an Ivory Coast win sends Rherras back to us.

Morocco 1 up with 17 mins to go. DR Congo 2-1 up.

DR Congo now 3-1 with a cracking free kick from the edge of the box - where its meant to be too close to get it up and down - Liking Congo and their celebrations

Still 1-0 for Morocco

If either of their sides win at the weekend then we will not see them until after the following weeks match and means they would return in the week of a possible tie against Hibs..........that meaningless third place play off match would delay their return even if they lost in the semi finals.

So they'd miss matches against Celtic, Rangers and Motherwell...all live TV matches (and of course have missed the cup ties against Raith Rovers as well)

Hope he plays an absolute blinder. Raises his profile and ours be extention. Other players looking to get into national teams and big tournaments will take notice that we're a club who can get them there and handle that level.

Djoum fits in well with that crowd, some very good players on show and he isn't out of place. The real quality coming from Senegal in this game though.
