The next level...

I keep reading that when the new stand is built and attendances increase we will step up to 'the next level'. But what, or indeed where, is the next level.

I'm assuming that the additional revenue generated from the extra capacity and better corporate facilities is what we plan to use to get to that level.

However, while Celtic clearly have by far the highest revenue in the league - and their results are as you would expect on that basis alone. We already have, and have for a long time, much bigger revenues than the likes of Kilmarnock and Inverness who we have just played, as well as the likes of St Johnstone and Motherwell yet we generally struggle away from home against them all. In other words our financial advantage over these teams seems to count for little at present.

At which point do we suddenly start winning regularly - like Celtic do - at these places? Double the revenue of these teams (suspect we are there already), treble, four times?

While more money theoretically mean a better quality of player we also require mental toughness, the right attitude and a will to win - and we should really have these already.
