scott herbertson Posted June 12, 2008 Share Posted June 12, 2008 I wasn't in Edinburgh at thtiem of SOH, so i can't give a full picture, but i can tell you from my experience that Derek Watson gave up time and in effect money towards the Trust/ SOH during the campaign. Just as an example,when my brother's single came out, with part of the proceeds going towards SOH, Derek gave up plenty of his time during the day, when he could have been earning money for his family, to ensure it got into the shops, on the radio, phoning round etc. He also stored many boxes of the cds for a long period of time in the offices he rented to run his business. If a decision was made by an elected committee to remunerate him for some of the income he lost through his efforts for the Triust and SOH, I have no problem with that.
