Tazio
This is too painful to watch. Federer is one of my favourite players of all time, I can't watch him losing like this. I'm off to wash the car.

The Merse
He's making a better fist of this second set Tazio...if he can somehow grind this set out it might give him belief to go on and do it. Personally can't see it though.
The Merse
Blown it now. Had a break point at 3-3 and then ended up losing set 6-3. Heading for a straight sets win for Rafa.

japanjambo
Roger should give his check to charity. That was a shocking performance! Lynn:ninja:
I P Knightley
Roger should give his check to charity. That was a shocking performance! Lynn:ninja: He needs it for his pension fund. I have a feeling that he's not going to be sticking around for much more tennis after this year. His performances at most tourneys have been pretty lacklustre (by his own standards) I hope I'm wrong. His performances at most tourneys have been pretty lacklustre (by his own standards) I hope I'm wrong. Apparently he had glandular fever a while back and has struggled to get back up to pace since. It may be just not having the extra 5% of alertness that sets apart the very best from the rest.
japanjambo
We'll see how he goes at Wimbledon. He's usually near nigh unbeatable on grass.
Martin
This is too painful to watch. Federer is one of my favourite players of all time, I can't watch him losing like this. I'm off to wash the car. Same here, although I switched it off after he went 5-3 down in the second set. Him and Agassi have been my favourite players and I'll just have to hope that Federer does what Agassi did - finally win the French late in his career, although sadly I can't see it happening. He needs it for his pension fund. I have a feeling that he's not going to be sticking around for much more tennis after this year. His performances at most tourneys have been pretty lacklustre (by his own standards) I hope I'm wrong. I think the second half of the year will tell everything. Traditionally he always plays better in the second half of the year on courts that suit his game more. If he does play badly, you could be right. Wimbledon's going to be massive for him. A lot could also depend how badly he's been damaged mentally by this defeat.
vegas-voss
Agassi still the last player to have won all of the Grand Slams. Not all in the one season of course.
Cade
That was to be expected. On clay, Nadal has nobody anywhere near him. On grass, Federer has no equal.

Not so sure about that, I think his days are numbered, Nadal has been getting closer to toppling him at Wimbledon, think this could be the year Federer loses his crown on grass. mac
Not that Nadal won quite convincingly, just that it wasn't a great contest - it's interesting to note that there were no Americans in either final.
