CJGJ
I'd like him to stay if he can keep focused and think he is as good as if not better than Sammon However not my choice and given he is not even in the squad it could well be bye bye but there is a player there and he would score more in the current side with Watt beside him

joseywales
I hope juanma stays at hearts the fact that sammon got a 3 year contract is bemusing and didn't juanma score 12 goals last season and end up being our top goal scorer. I don't care that juanma does not train well it is what he does on the pitch that counts.

I don't care that juanma does not train well it is what he does on the pitch that counts. Might have been our top goalscorer but that was due to his early season form he's drifted away since then and I can't see him coming back, very disappointing because if he could be arsed he'd be a brilliant player. Don't knock Sammon either, he's deceptively quick and while he won't necessarily score a lot his movement will create a lot.

Juanma was benched for the other half of the season on his day he is unplayable. the game that sticks out for me was the Scottish cup game with Aberdeen last season he destroyed them like I said on his day he is unplayable. I don't think we have a player like him he is class and I find it stupid that people think he was lazy so what wasn't mccoist or Robertson lazy. I have been watching strikers over the years that are hard workers they are two to a penny I will take juanma's guaranteed goals over sammon anyday. joseywales
McCoist and Robbo were both goal machines first season 12 goals put on bench half the season doesn't juanma deserve a chance. Anyway sammon having one good season at killie does not guarantee him a place in the starting eleven over juanma besides robbo and mccoist had bad seasons as well and juanma didn't do too badly on his first season. Debut 4
Juanma was benched for the other half of the season on his day he is unplayable. the game that sticks out for me was the Scottish cup game with Aberdeen last season he destroyed them like I said on his day he is unplayable. I have been watching strikers over the years that are hard workers they are two to a penny I will take juanma's guaranteed goals over sammon anyday. He never started the cup game. I think you're on about the league game. Robbo wasn't lazy mate. You have to work hard and he did. The times Juanma scored his best goals last season were funnily the times he looked energetic and willing. Maybe there's some players get away with less workrate because the quality around them is very high. Some players are also asked to play in an area and can therefore look deceiving lazy to supporters when they don't run into other parts of the pitch. The bottom line is, you don't get chances every minute of the game on a plate. There's more to the game than waiting on chances for a forward. letsalldothebeattie
Be interesting to see if it's going to be a loan deal or a permanent one. If it is to be a permanent one be interesting to see if we demand a decent fee for him as he did have a decent first season in Scotland plus we know they have good money in the club following sales of Stewart & Hemmings. I don't think I will be sad to see him go. He done well for us last season but his antics were getting more ridiculous as the season went on and I really started to dislike the guy because of it. Bauld
We're much better off putting our faith in Sammons work rate and link up play and Watts smart running and positional instincts. Juanma just isn't giving enough. Strikers only get a couple of good chances each game. The rest of that time you need to contribute something more to the team and he just doesn't do enough. We're playing with 10 men for most of the game with him.
Haken
Juanma is all about the juanma. This. There are some on this thread who don't seem to realise that football is a team game. I've seen a few of our other players show frustration on the park as Juanma falls to the ground clutching his face to roll about in an offside position. And if he's not putting in the effort that others are in training, then he has to be one extremely special player to get away with it. He isn't.
