Gigolo-Aunt
Many people will have been paid a small fortune to come up with that pish. They should have just booked The Stooges.
jamboj
They've really let themselves down. Opening ceremonies are normally brilliant

chester copperpot
Lets just hope the fitba's better. That was actually rather embarrassing to watch. A bit like watching yer old man dance whilst pished at a wedding.
lewis2006
Was just saying to my mate how much better it would be if they got a mud bath/ring in the middle of the park and had the fittest models from each competing country to wrestle it out for 20mins. jamboinglasgow
Thought the cows looked really evil heard the commentators say that those cows had the symbols of what the championships mean, could not see a single Euro, Dollar or Pound sign on it. The Old Tolbooth
I was all excited when Sionko had a chance there as I've got money on him at 14's to score first!

The Old Tolbooth
Am I the only one who thought it wasn't actually that bad a first half? Maybe I'm too used to watching pish at Tynie these days!
Ibrahim Tall
heard the commentators say that those cows had the symbols of what the championships mean, could not see a single Euro, Dollar or Pound sign on it. They were Swiss francs. Hakan Yakın on for Switzerland.

I thought the first half was alright, plenty of attacking football and the only thing lacking has been a goal. Have to admit Switzerland are doing better than I thought they would do. The Old Tolbooth
Go on the Czechs!!!! First part of a Czech/Portugese double is up. You can say what you like about the Czechs but they just defeated a host nation who was really up for it, and didn't even have to play anywhere near their best to do so. The Merse
Didn't think it was all that bad. Czech Republic did nothing to deserve a win in that game. They really have gone downhill.

portobellojambo1
Second game was much, much better than the first. Even taking into account the fact that the opening game of these type of tournaments can often be very cagey I suspect that both Portugal and Turkey will go through from that group.
