The Future's Maroon
Good news. SWEDISH goalkeeper Viktor Noring has accepted Hearts? offer of a one-year contract, the Evening News can reveal. The signing should be completed this afternoon as Tynecastle officials want the 25-year-old registered with UEFA before the Europa League second qualifying round registration deadline, which is midnight tonight. Noring was offered a one-year deal after impressing on trial. He returned home to Sweden to think it over but has now agreed to sign. He will provide competition for Hearts? first-choice goalkeeper, Jack Hamilton.

Jack Kelly's Hands
No. Jack will fight to keep the no1 jersey. That's really just a football cliche and something Neilson has said to keep Jack's confidence up. The management will have signed Noring because they think he's better than Hamilton and he will be here to be no.1 this season, just like they were going to sign Gilks previously. Hamilton hasn't suddenly gone from not being ready to being ready in the space of a few weeks, despite what the management say publicly.

We can't have a settled defence if we are swapping keepers around every time they have a bad game. Noring first choice, Gallacher backup, Hamilton season long loan with option to recall. Its an option but Paul Gallacher has been signed as a full time specialist goalkeeping coach - only to come in in emergency which would be suspension or injury. The club learned that Alexander was only able to be a very part time coach including limited in helping U20s and younger age groups. As season progresses if Hearts can get a better keeper and /or Jack struggles he can be considered for loan in January. But otherwise he stays

Hamilton needs a full season on loan to get the experience of playing every week and being allowed to make mistakes.
Dia Liom
Be interesting to see how the management play this one. Personally would stick with Hamilton #1 with Noring sub and waiting to come in. I can see the sense though in switching to Noring, if he looks markedly better in training and bounce games, and having JH as sub, possibly playing league cup games and if there are any nothing matches at the end of season. Spencer
Two year deal would make more sense. A year would take him to the end of the season, which coincides with Djoum, Ozturk and Rossi being out of contract. Rather than making further additions, extending contracts of Rossi & Djoum n particular should be a priority

jambogemz
I'd be very surprised if he was installed as No1 given Robbies comments regarding Jack over the last couple of weeks. Remember Robbie's comments when he thought we were signing Gilks. Jack is going out on loan for a season were his words then when the Gilks deal fell flat on it's face he changed that to Jack is our number one. Robbbie is prone to changing his mind quite a lot or else just slavering to the media what he thinks they want to hear. We will just have to wait and see what transpires Robbie proabably doesn't know what he wants himself yet.

I just think that if this was one of those occasions then it could really damage young Jacks confidence.
