19/5HMFC12
I heard a stat on sport sound that said that out of 48 games this season Celtic have started 47 different line ups.(it might be 48 in 49, not sure). That seemed quite shocking. What's our stat this season? Anywhere close?

Debut 4
20 is quite high really. In those days changes were forced rather than of choice. I think even supporters expect change too often these days rather than having patience and letting players get into gear. Squad game mentality has taken over rather than forging a strongest 11. All roads lead to Gorgie
You are always going to get injuries, suspensions and players close to a ban being held back for bigger games so changes are part and parcel of the game. However, we seem to tinker around far too much and unlike teams that brought success in the past which more or less picked themselves starting a different formation each week means we are often misjointed. We need to find the strongest team and give it time to gel properly.
Guess The Crowd
Also, from memory, the team that played in the 1997/98 final seemed fairly settled (though Naismith had displaced Pointon only in the latter part of the season)
All roads lead to Gorgie
The 85/86 team more or less started the same with Roddie MacDonald and Iain Jardine the only players to step in when required as far as I remember. Rightly or wrongly players seemed more willing to play with minor knocks back then to keep the continuity going !

Drewboy
36 in 37I heard the stats for Celtic on Sportsound too, genuinely surprised at it. Not so surprised at our stats, mainly cos Neilson like most managers will adjust/tinker with the team depending on various factors. I would expect most sides to change slightly for home or away.
