Not just you - the wife said 'let's watch a bit of Glastonbury'

I thought the cleaning lady had grabbed the mike or something

All roads lead to Gorgie

Last time I saw flares like that I was a bairn in the 70s. She has got a pair of lungs I will give her that.

I saw a video of her and glasvegas doing a cover of Always on My Mind. Worst thing I've ever heard.

Quite a fan of her band's earlier work with Rage Against though.

I used that gag after I saw it on Twitter as well.

Shows how much you know, I stole it off the radio.

She's got a good voice and their music is decent quality. Not a fan personally, but they'd be well down the list of utter shite around today if anyone pressed me for an opinion.

Sometimes you see a picture of her and she almost, dare I say it, looks quite nice.

Then, sometimes I look at her and I get reminded of the less 'famous' Hawkins brother from The Darkness.

Probably a commercial station.

Auntie would never stoop to such a low, so, yeah, probably.

Certainly as the BBC report says it was an energetic performance but to me I got a bit bored after the first 10/15 minutes .

She is a good artist with out being anything near exceptional . In the sense I don't mind the odd song piping up on a radio playlist

Good old Lemmy and Mot?rhead the only thing that caught my attention for a long period so far .

That line up on the West Holts stage from last night looks incredible;

Run The Jewels, then Caribou and Hot Chip headlining.

Her cover of 'You Got The Love' is fecking horrendous.

Is it even a cover? Just a blatant (but bad) copy.

Always prefer cover versions to you making it hard to remember the original.

turned it on when I got home, expecting something decent ...

absolutely dire, unbelievable that the BBC could choose to put out that at peak Glasto time

Agree. Singing a song that someone else has done before doesn't make it a fecking 'cover'. It makes it a lazy way of making money.

Watched a clip of Ace of a Spades and good to see the leather mob irritating the weekend hippies.

Say What Again

Not my cup of tea and certainly a piss poor substitute for the Foos.

At least they had the decency to replace a band that's every track sounds the same, like for like.

I assume the Chilli Peppers were pre booked.

Hot Chip ending their set with a cover of Springsteen's Dancing in the Dark running in LCD Soundsystem's All My Friends was just incredible. Feel sorry for everyone who chose to see Florence and missed it.

Fortunately I missed the mad shrieking woman and saw The Who, Paul Weller, Johnny Marr, Gaz Coombes and Kaiser Chiefs live at Hyde Park.

AC/DC coming up tomorrow.

Fortunately managed to avoid F&TM by watching the Super Furry Animals tearing it up on the Park Stage.

Think you'd struggle to find a negative article from the BBC on a Glastonbury headline set.

The BBC's lack of objectivity when it comes to Glastonbury is incredible. On the basis that people are paying hundreds of pounds to be there and it's getting wall to wall coverage, you'd assume that the BBC would actually take a view on what's good at the festival and what's a let down. It's like being a restaurant reviewer and describing every restaurant as amazing, even though you get over cooked steak half the time.

Mind you, Radio one is exactly the same. No-one on there ever has the gumption to say "sorry, but this music is awful/bland/unoriginal." Radio One is the reason why gash bands like Florence and the Machine are treated like royalty.

Never saw her performance but my impression of her having seen her in the past, is that she appears to think louder = better.

Listen to her doing a cover of Beyonce's Halo on the Live Lounge on Radio 1. I remember driving at the time and pissing myself laughing at how bad it was.
