primrose
So says David McCarthy; wasn't he the old Hibs repoerter for the EEN? "Their fans won?t want to hear it. They?ve had their hopes raised and dashed so often. Under Pat Fenlon they reached the Final only to be pulverised by Hearts in 2012 and Celtic a year later. But the darkest part of the night is just before dawn and it wouldn?t surprise me if Hibs walked into the light at Hampden on May 30. They have been practically handed a bye to the last four. They?ve knocked out Alloa and Arbroath and tackle Berwick at home in the quarter-finals this weekend. Who will be left to face them? Queen of the South or Falkirk, Inverness or Raith, Dundee United or Celtic. That last game is the obvious danger, particularly if Celtic get through it. But I?d fancy Hibs to beat any of the five other teams. Here?s why. Boss Alan Stubbs has them playing the best football in the Championship. That might seem daft when Hearts are romping to the title but in the past few months they?ve been grinding out results until they went goal crazy against Cowdenbeath on Saturday." http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/david-mccarthy-whisper-could-well-5269600 20 points behind in the second tier, yet they are the best team in the league, they have all bought into the massive progress under Stubbs thing. I don't get it!

oh ah grantona
I read this yesterday and these Hibs fans are just as bad as Rangers fans with coming out with junk. Yes they have improved and can play decent stuff but they struggle for goals and are prone to let 1 or 2 in As for Scottish cup Its not a given they will go through but yes they have easiest Tie 1 decent Championship will be left in Celtic have pretty much bought a win v Dundee Utd (last night was a blip) I fully expect a decent ICT side to be in it If Hibs make the final that will be a lot of high pressure games in a row can they handle it

Diego10
Grinding out results up till Cowdenbeath, bar the 4-1 and 5-1 victories since New Year. I feel at Easter road baring El hass chance they had the better clear cut chances but we created a few dangerous situations but couldnt get it correct in final 3rd. Jammy T
1 win from 6 attempts or whatever against Falkirk and QOTS this season is proof that Hibs would find a cup tie against them difficult - it's also proof of many other things including the fable about best team. look it's this sort of shite why it was absolutely the right thing to do to keep at it against Cowdenbeath. I get the sense that behind the scenes Robbie et al are hacked off that we haven't got the respect or credit we deserve. From the media or our opponents well rather sevco and the hobos... The Internet
Think it's time we accepted our place as 2nd best in this league tbh. We may have won more games, scored more goals, conceded less goals, had 20 different goalscorers throughout the season and have a slight lead at the top, but for the first time in about 10 years Hibs are winning more games than they're losing so they must be the best team in the league.
