Following on from the poker thread, I'm going to look into organising a Hold 'Em tournament at the casino at Fountainbridge.

If this is something you'd be interested in please indicate your interest here so I can get a rough idea of numbers. No timescales at present, but in the not too distant future.

Additionally, if you fancy running this 50/50 for charity then that's certainly do-able. The casino handle the split so its easily organised. Perhaps Macrae's Battalion?

Mods - if you could sticky this that would be great.

ta :)

I'll play and if need be help organise, I get on fairly well with the people that run the card room at the Circus casino.

The Doctor

It would depend on the night, but I'd be up for a game.

I've never played live before, but if the company was good and there was a beer or two involved, I think I might enjoy it!

I'm over the weekend of the 21st next month; if it was then I'd be up for it.

Maybe make it a second chance 10/20 quid? gives folk the option if they do go out to buy back in, depends on chip stacks as the game goes on.

good idea, as there probably wont be that many folk....and could be a quick night otherwise!

I'd play in that game as well.

Maroon Mayhem

A double chance f/o is the best way to establish a reasonable prize pool without creating a lottery.

I'm interested, not a definate yes as I'll wait to see what type of game, dates etc.

Count me in for 2 poss 3 but not for a lottery 1 buy in only.

The more buy ins the more the lottery it is!

1 buy in = less of a lottery.

2 + 3 = people going all in with anything as they know they can re-buy

Im sure there will be a few sharks hanging about the table in the casinio. You would easily get 50 bodies i reckon fora 2nd chance 10/20 quid. Decent pot as well, and some for charity as you say.

try and picka decent Euro 08 game on in the background.

:confused:That makes very little sense- unless you're meaning you can at least buy back in if you suffer a bad beat. Generally though the more buy-ins means a looser game and more of a lottery.

I think the lad simply missed a comma after the word lottery.

The English language is an amazing thing. A comma makes two completely different sentences.

OPTION A: Count me in for 2 poss 3 but not for a lottery 1 buy in only.

OPTION B: Count me in for 2 poss 3 but not for a lottery, 1 buy in only.

I'd be interested too. Never played live before, I normally prefer to lose my money in the comfort of my own home.

Realise my post was not well put what i meant to say was Count me in for 2 or 3 people coming along. I dont want to play in a lottery with unlimited buy ins, 1 buy in at most. Hope this makes more sense.
