Maroon or White Sept/Oct 2014 (PHREE MUNNY!)

Just a reminder for players of how the elimination rounds work.

In each elimination round, a challenge is posted, setting out an event with two possible outcomes, and a deadline for the round. One outcome will be the Maroon choice, the other will be the White choice. Each player chooses either Maroon or White by posting on the competition thread before the round deadline. If a player does not choose an option before the deadline, his/her entry is deemed withdrawn. Once the outcome of the challenge is known, the players who picked the correct choice proceed to the next elimination round, and the players who picked the incorrect choice are eliminated from the competition.

First elimination round challenge

This challenge is only open to the 281 players who signed up before the deadline.

Here is a list of the games scheduled to be played in Scottish Leagues 1 and 2 this coming weekend:

League 1

Airdrieonians v Stranraer

Brechin v Ayr

Morton v Dunfermline

Peterhead v Stenhousemuir

Stirling v Forfar

League 2

Berwick v Albion

Clyde v Arbroath

East Fife v Queen's Park

East Stirling v Annan Athletic

Elgin v Montrose

Here's the challenge:

Maroon: There will be more goals scored in League 2 than League 1.

White: There will NOT be more goals scored in League 2 than League 1.

Notes:

Goals scored in abandoned games will count.

In the event of any postponements, the average goals scored per game will be used rather than the total number of goals to determine the winner.

If all of the Division 2 games or all of the Division 3 games are postponed, the round will be replayed.

Choose Maroon or White and post on this thread. The deadline for entries is Friday, 19 September at 9 pm UK time.
