I P Knightley

Fair play to the Hibs getting 5k to turn out when the most likely result would have been taking a pumping.

Different Class

Hamilton v Alloa, six HUNDRED & forty nine?! :cornette:

They only get 1000 home fans for a league game, not unexpected

Well, there were no more than 200 people in their stand, probably 25/30 of which were club officials/non playing squad members. I'd therefore say 1,600 Hearts, 140 Stenny (paying fans).

The Old Tolbooth

How many Hearts fans travelled?

i reckon there were over a thousand of us there tonight, the Stenny support was very very small and looked about 2-300

Stupid Sexy Flanders

Also a bit surprised the crowd at the Rangers game was so low. I know it was at Airdrie & not Hampden but that still holds about 10,000 does it not?

Regal Kingston

Under 30,000 for 11 ties is truly awful.

May be an idea to make the tournament regional.

4 regions and winner of each region goes to the semis

Get a few local derbies in as Killie have proved tonight that if the right tie is drawn the public are still interested

Be difficult to divide fairly but something needs to be done.

We'd not have got much more than hibs at Tynecastle tbh.

Nobody gives a toss. Even the semis we had at ER recently were very poorly supported.

Bin the tournament. It's shite.

Not a bad attendance at Rugby Park last night. Obviously a good crowd at Stenny but the others are shocking!

Germany and Austria (where I am) both only have one cup tournament.

Probably the way to go. League Cup offers nothing anymore. Used to be a way into Europe but not now.

Keep the Petroface for the lower leagues but keep the Scottish cup and bin the league cup seems to be the way to go

I like the way the Hearts management are using the cups to keep the young fringe players motivated. We will reap the benefits from this in the future and would be wise to appreciate their use to us. If people dont like it then dont go but the youngsters need more highly competitive football not less. Could be a great incentive if the four semi finalists in the Scottish League cup qualified to play off against the English equivalent in a Texaco cup style tournament.

They can bin the League Cup after I see us win it. Until then I want it to stay.

Tbf I'd give a Euro place to League Cup winners. Will never be dropped as SPFL want a cup they own.

Brought it home yesterday the different world in smaller SPFL teams.

Outside the old firm (normally) the other teams have two major trophies to win, I've no idea why teams don't take it more serious.

It may have been their permitted limit but there was ample space for many more at the far end of the terrace where I stood.
