The cruckie cookie
Do they still need to keep trawling this up every so often. At the bottom of the article. ?UEFA President Michel Platini is more minded to employ an extra ref behind each goal to provide extra eyes where you might get a better view of incidents, like Saulius Mikoliunas? dive at Hampden during Scotland?s game with Lithuania.?

The mention of Miko just helps to confirm that the SFA are very well looked after by UEFA. With Taylor at UEFA now the only way is to jump above them and go to FIFA - don't think anyone's got the cojones to do it tho! Therefore you are correct - corruption is protected! Toxteth O'Grady
UEFA should consider looking at some of the evidence before warning anybody http://www.hmfckickback.co.uk/showthread.php?t=14777#post261360
Charlie-Brown
It's a shame other unsavoury events also involving the 'teddy bears' has pushed this from the front of everyone's attention.....definitely it will be swept under the carpet now and simply be added to the long held grievances of non-OF fans.....until the NEXT time! DavyMcL
So what UEFA are saying is that they are above the law. If they try to 'bully' someone out of taking a perfectly legal action, are they not breaking the law?
redm
If that article wasn't obviously very genuine, you could totally be forgiven for assuming that its some sort of pee-take. Totally ridiculous. "Raising legal action against referees isn't welcome in football" Er...says who? I'm quite sure that there are many hundreds of thousands of football fans who might disagree with that. It might not be welcomed by the feckless slugs up there in the UEFA offices but that's just hard cheese. If they were governing refs and their decision making properly, clubs wouldn't be driven to the point of seeking help from the courts in the first place. There's so much money involved in the game that surely it's only really a matter of time before the UK clubs go litigation crazy anyway?
The Old Tolbooth
http://www.dcthomson.co.uk/MAGS/POST/sport2.htm If ever Dundee Utd needed a bigger excuse to field their under 17's against Celtic on Thursday then this, and the way they were shabbily treated at Ibrox is it! Letting Celtic win would really get it up der hun, and also Gordhun Smith, and there's nothing they could do about it because the old firm have fielded weakened teams on last days of the season for years. ToadKiller Dog
A typical response from yes man taylor ,totally ignoring the the whole substance of the problem and waving about threats ,did he not do the same to us a while back but was found out to be talking rubbish. The man is a muppet gid he even read CL statement about refs being held responsible for major errors they make, does he not know that in other nations refs are demoted if they make major mistakes?. Hope united play there under 10s on thursday.
Rawrrrrrrr
Football is an old boys club, yes dundee utd could take the legal route and they probably would win but UEFA, FIFA etc arent stupid They know fine anyone who goes outside of their stitch up channels will become outcasts This is what the SFA are relying on Sadly Utd cant win this and survive as a top football team The whole institution of football is as corrupt as the catholic church
akfkjambo
I bet Eddie Thompson and Craig Levien are really shaking in there boots now! Hope it makes them more determined to take this further. As for David Taylor, UTD didn't take this action for the headlines, they have taken this action because McCurrie's 'huge' mistakes could have cost them over ?100,000 and also a European place - which might not be a great deal to Rangers but is to them. As said previously the SFA should simply make a statement saying that in future, if a Ref makes a serious blunder they will be domoted for a number of games. If that drives some refs out of the game then so be it. Even if that means using inexperienced refs that might not be up to scratch yet - wont be any worse that we got already! N User
What has Miko got to do with McCurry being a corrupt cheating *******?
Hagar the Horrible
Dundee Utd should call their bluff CL did it a few years back when he refused to pay a fine imposed against the SFA, untill the Pieman bottled it and paid it for him (mind you it was onlty the origional fine). What Uefa are saying is they are protecting corruption the decisions at Ibrox were not mistakes they were deliberate. The proof is in DeVries's goal the ref took ages to call it a goal he was desperate to try and find something to chalk it off for, a point noted my the DU players themselves. So how can refs ever be accountable if there is no mechnism for exposing wrong doings? Uefa let Italy away with since the dawn of time so asking them to care about provintial clubs in Scotland is like asking them to pick a jobby up by the clean end. Ben Dover
So that's it then, just a chalk outline on the pavement to show where the the games integrity lay down and drew it's final gasp "please move along now..........there's nothing to see here" Never mind boycotting Tynie, we should boycott Scotland matches Levein wont play a weekened side against the Tic though, he's too honest for that. However I wouldn't be surprised to see one or two decisions go their way this time...........just to 'prove' it's all swings and roundabouts
Mark_Mywords
Match fixing has been taken through the courts. This is just another variation of match fixing imo. Taylor talking ****e again.
Hagar the Horrible
What has Miko got to do with McCurry being a corrupt cheating *******? Exactly they are 2 diferent points players cheating is bad enough but when it is refs then it is match fixing and that should be taking into account by the Law courts as well as Uefa. But why use Miko as an example when you could use every Celtic player in history or even Maradona or Klinsman? or even Platini??????

Damn right. Under 17s, blindfolded and maybe tie their ankles together too, just for good measure. A few days ago I would have been firmly of the opinion that Levein is too much of a professional to consider doing such a thing...but now I'm not so sure. Sometimes you have to compromise on your principles for the greater good and he might just be angry enough to do that. Good on him if he does... They can't be very flush having just been mugged for league placement winnings & potential Euro revenue.... They'll be needing all their spare pennies for their groundbreaking case against Mike McCurry anyway. Hopefully.
