GarryJ-o-s
I remember seeing a show about American football players. It was like 60% of NBA players go bankrupt within 5 years. Got to wonder if this whole Miami MLS side could send David Beckham the same way? michael_bolton
Tough gig. Earning hundreds of thousands of pounds a year by talking about football. Oh the humanity. I've been curious about this for a while, but can't find an answer. Does anyone know how much the studio guests and co-commentators on BT Sport or Sky get paid for each appearance? I don't mean Redknapp and Neville. I mean guys like Davie Provan or Jim Beglin doing co-commentary or Alan Curbishley or Don Hutchison in the studio. Guest Bilel Mohsni
iirc, fowler owns a tremendous amount of property Good to see a guy doing well. Good on him. Funny that he was painted as a bit of a Spice boy/Idiot, and yet he makes the top thousand for intelligent investment of resources, while many a media darling from a football background are probably light years away from such success. Never been as to dislike Robbie, he's got a personable demeanour whenever I've seen him on the screen.

For all people like to criticize him for being "thick" he's always been smart financially or at least been smart enough to get the right people running that side of his life. Der Kaiser
It's all relative isn't it? I earn a wage and that wage is reflected on my mortgage, car, where I eat out and how much I spend on my clothes. Some folk who earn big wages have bigger mortgages, more expensive cars, eat at more expensive places and wear more expensive clothes. When it goes tits up up for either us we both end up in the shit. Difference being I've probably had more experience of tightening my belt and watching what I spend, tucking money away in to the savings. As said earlier when you've had 15-20 years of not worrying about what things cost its difficult to adapt. I find it hard to have any genuine sympathy for folk like this. Get out and deliver 1600 yellow pages like I did for 3 days to earn extra cash when money was tight you lazy goalie!

Bridge of Djoum
I read once that James had a pretty prodigious boaby..perhaps he could do a spot of porn until things ''look up'' for him. Before I'm quizzed on where I read this.... I'm sure it was during an interview with a former Liverpool colleague, when asked, ''who is a big character in the dressing room'', the answer was, ''David James, big in the dressing room and the shower''. I've just dug myself a hole, haven't I?
