jamboinglasgow
Was thinking about this yesterday, would be fascinating to see as though at the moment we have a squad of Scottish players (and one Australian who is eligable for Scotland) which we can be proud of, there has been many overseas players that have played for the Jam Tarts with pride. So which countries have had a player who has worn the top of Hearts in a competitive game (so no youngsters who never played in a competitive senior game or trialists.) At the momment I have (and I just need one player from each country:) Europe England - John Sutton Northern Ireland - Andy Kirk Republic of Ireland - Stephen Elliott France - Stephane Adam Netherlands - Mark De Vries Germany - Denis Prychynenko Denmark - Mike Tullberg Spain - Suso Santana Portugual - Bruno Aguir Austria - Thomas Flogel Italy - Pasquale Bruno Slovakia - Marian Kello Bosnia - Mersad Beslija Czech Republic - Rudi Skacel Norway - Roald Jensen Sweden - Finland - Anti Nemei Iceland - Eggert Jonsson Lithuania - Marius Zaliukas Greece - Takis Fyssas Poland - Mrowiec Serbia - Gordon Petric North America Canada - Kevin McKenna Jamaica - Ricardo Fuller South America Brazil - Samuel Camazzola Argentina - Fernando Screpis Chile - Mauricio Pinilla Africa Morocco - Mehdi Taouil Algeria - Ismael Bouzid Uganda - David Obua Ghana - Laryea Kingston Angola - Jose Quitongo Asia Australia - Ryan McGowan So who have I missed out? seebeegee
Bizarrely enough Goss was born in Cyprus, so could Rob Ogleby count for Wales. George Wright was born in South Africa Was MDV not from the Dutch Maldives or Surinam or some wee island somewhere rather than Hollander? Petty but we might need to add in Van de Van as a proper dutchie. Where was Goncalves born? Did he not qualify for a few different National Sides? What about Musemic? He moved to Switzerland at 2 years old and as a result holds Swiss citizenship. He's also eligible to play for Cape Verde through the 'Scottish Granny' rule.
