bigsuperslim1874
Well done St J. No axe to grind with these guys and the co-efficient needs all the help it can get.
TheBigO
Yup, well done the Super J's. Great result for Scottish football (someone had to do it, there are others you simply can't rely on). Hope they make the group stages. Never minded St J, harmless enough. Wish they got bigger crowds but I guess they'd say they've got a commited core. Maybe a good euro run will eek a few more out the woodwork, maybe drag a few kids out of hun tops while they're in the wilderness too.... Good on them. As an aside, looks like Wotherspoon played well. Just don't see why Hibs would let him go and if rumours were true that we were looking at him, then a shame we couldn't take him (for obvious reasons) imo. vegas-voss
Shame their brilliant efforts in getting through have been overshadowed by the utterly pathetic Hibernian.
Ally Bell
Great result from St Johnstone, goes to show that the non old firm teams can do themselves justice in Europe
TheBigO
Shame their brilliant efforts in getting through have been overshadowed by the utterly pathetic Hibernian. Don't know if that's just a dig (and if so, fair play!), but it's actually a decent point. The bigger news story in the papers will be Hibs (maybe someone who's had a squatch at the back pages can confirm. I'd like to think that Scottish football as a whole will congratulate St Johnstone and kind of brush Hibs under the carpet - no doubt one already being used to hide mouse shit. Us having one team in the Europa League groups is an achievement and even if they lose every game, which who's to say they will, it'll be a big boost for coefficient. (IF they get there ofcourse - be quite Scottish to now get beaten by Minsk)
