Ryan Gosling
Yes but they have hotels in Estonia and Latvia as well as Vilnius in Lithuania, so the Kaunas thing isn't really relevant... Anything is possible though.
Charlie-Brown
It would be better if Edinburgh based companies actually bothered to support / sponsor Hearts as they conspicuously have not at least since 'Miller Homes' in the early 1990's.

And they gave us sweeties(although I seem to remember a raffle for a house in the 80's?). For the number of multi-national companies which are based in and around Edinburgh, very few have ever come forward to sponsor us. I can think of S & N (McEwan's Lager) going down the M8 for one. The problem with the large companies in Edinburgh is that most of them have their core business in England or abroad therefore sponsoring a SPL team does not make any sense. Sponsoring an EPL team would give them more exposure, but you don't even see them doing this. Plus any company in Edinburgh with a single person controlling the business is rare, and those that do more often than not sponsor rugby instead. The only local business I could see increasing their exposure by sponsoring Hearts would be Belhaven, but for some reason they have sponsored Dundee Utd in the past despite being based in Dunbar. Phil Anderton had a few major deals lined up, including one with Scottish & Newcastle, the source being Phil Anderton himself as quoted in the Scotsman not long after he departed. He departed because your man Vlad sacked him, in case you've forgotten..... (oh and before anyone comes out with the crap about advertising budget's, A) Hearts have wasted a hell of a lot more money on dafter things since George Foulkes has since stated that PA was sacked for refusing to sign a letter that claimed Burley was a drunk)

The way I'd approach it is by looking at companies who are looking to expand in to Scotland and wrestle the market share from a scottish / British company... look at Carling for instance... Scotland is known as a hard nut to crack in some industries but is also seen as a lucrative nut at the same time. Will be very interesting to see what Granada have achieved or not, which could be the case.

That would be brilliant. The last sponsor was a bank which had no branches in the UK, and in the country where they have branches, the beambacks on Tango TV were only watched by VR and his mate in the coffee shop. Now we could have a sponsorship from a hotel company with no hotels in the UK, and in the country where they have hotels, the beambacks ... etc etc
