If you have uncovered a hidden gem of a song or an artist that not many folk have heard of post em here, with a link if possible;

Just now I'm quite into Calexico and have found a similar band called

Lambchop

this is their single "Is a Woman"

Good work young man. C'mon/No You C'mon is a fantastic double album by Lambchop. Calexico are also a fine band.

Pete Seeger

Dunno how to post a link but I used to really like a band called instruction. Lead singer was an American called Arty. Not sure if they're even still around.

Benny, the twins are essential in my house - the sound of a forward thinking Scotland (forget that, society in general).

I'd like to think I almost had a haircut like that (jealous).

Still listen to them every weekend, and I don't need any Appletini's, thanks for asking!

Maybe pushing the thread a little, but this band were kinda well known for a bit but their first album is vastly, vastly underrated and this is the only good youtube clip I could find from that album. I was certain I would find something else, ach well.

Hugh Watt

This appeared on my MP3 player today - a tune I'd totally forgotten about. They are Ballboy from Edinburgh - unfortunately the singer's a hobo but don't let that put you off.

The song is a grower (but I have to admit hte video is naff).

Orange Avenue. American band. Bit like The Fray/The Calling.

This one is Waiting For The Fall as I like them doing that one.

Come to think of it...if you've ever been to Universal City Walk in Florida you'll no doubt have heard them at some point!

Addicted to these chaps at the moment; my avatar is their album cover: The Perverse Recollections of a Necromangler.

State of the art metal, right there. ****ing balls-to-the-wall, adrenaline-filled metal. Love it. I literally love it.

My son is in a band. He is 16yr old . They base themselves on the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. They write all there own stuff and think people should have a wee listen to them.

Not bad, are they signed?

Just discovered these guys. Very nice chillout sounds.

They take post punk tunes by bands like Buzzcocks, XTC, Heaven 17, Dead Kennedys etc. They smooth them up with a Bossa Nova rythym and then get a honey voiced foreign bird in to do the vocals.

Here they are doing "Friday Night, Saturday Morning" by the Specials

And here doing "This is not a Love Song" by Public Image Ltd.
