Managed to drop the laptop and now the cd drive isn't opening. Went up to PC World but they were gonna charge 50 quid just to look at it! Anyone know any reliable pc repair places were I could get this fixed without a steep price?! Cheers

There's usually a very small hole at the bottom of computer's cd drives...if you poke a pin in this opens up the drive...maybe try this first to see if it works and save some dosh.

Do you use the drive that much?

There is often a tiny slot on CD drives where you can poke a pin into to manually open the drive.

It's not a great solution but if you never use it - it saves cash

Thanks for the suggestions. Was the first thing I tried was put the pin into the hole and no luck. Just refusing to budge
