So I was right ! Stick that up your arse “been here before “ ( sorry but I have him on ignore for obvious reasons )

Again loads of folk tell you you're wrong, with their own lersonal experiences, and you just cant accept it or handle it.

Didnt they cover Minor Injuries clinics in your self appointed Expert In Healthcare briefing before you decided to take up the post?

If only theyd spent more time in the correct use of " quotation marks ", something you struggle with on an equal footing.

What an absolute child

Edinburgh on street parking charges rising by 22% absolutely outrageous.

Also MSPs exempting themselves from Council Tax on second homes.

From the NHS Lothian web site

Our minor injury units are open seven days a week every day of the year at the sites listed below. Please note that if you arrive without arranging an appointment via 111 you may be asked to come back later.

So you don't always need to be referred.

It depends on the nature of the injury. Obviously, if you rock up with a finger sliced open, they aren't going to say, come back once you've seen your GP. If it's a possible break/fracture that happened over a fortnight prior to you heading in, then they more than likely send you packing. I thought mine was just a sprain or staved thumb so just left it. Now it's been confirmed as a break and begun to heal, I've been referred to OPD at the RI on Monday to have it fixed.

My first visit was about a week after I thought I had broken a finger in a fall. It turned out that it was only dislocated. Perhaps they saw me because I had got there very soon after they opened and there was only one other person seeking treatment. The second time was when I cut my finger and couldn't get the bleeding to stop. Again I went early and again there was only oner other person being treated. As you say in these circumstances they wouldn't turn anyone away.

Totally. As a cyclist I spend a lot of time shouting at those Deliveroo pricks on the electric bikes. A lot of them seem to be using hand throttles with not speed limiters on them. And don’t even get me started on the lack of helmets and lights. And the covered faces, that’s not to protect from the cold.

No its absolutely not. Its a cultural thing. It really is worrying too.

Yes it was very sore but I had put the finger back in position at the scene of the accident. I when to the MIC was I thought it was broken.

The rule seems to be that if the injury occurred more than 2 weeks prior to seeking medical assistance, then you will definitely require a referral from your GP. That's where I was as mine happened the day after the last derby and it took me a while to realise it was a break/fracture rather than just a stave or sprain. Then took me forever to get an appointment with my GP. Not looking forward to Monday if they have to break it again to re-set it.

I sense a turning coming after next weekend. We're going to be bathed in sunshine and heat.

Parked the car in supermarket car park - no trees around.  Came out about 10 mins later to find birds had been having a sh!tting competition on it.

Sleepy head

£50 charge if I want my brown bin emptied. They can deduct it from my council tax. Just let my grass grow all summer.

Bins in Morrison St yesterday evening. Never mind we've got trams and fixed cycleways!

Both bins on Dalry Road nearest Haymarket just before Ryries on that side (in case anybody wants to know specifically) were full to overflowing yesterday lunchtime, and I just had a couple of Lidl bakery wrappers to dispose of as it happens.  Veg pizza slice and a Belgian Bun, for those interested. Treated myself after renewing our STs.

Also, the state of the wee street at the East End just as you come down from the Guildford!  General takeaway crap all over the shop. Outs walking the dog last night, said to my son that I really don't remember ever consciously chucking rubbish on the ground, like ever, coz I wasn't raised by arseholes!

Wheelie bin went out last night for collection this morning. No collection happened so got in touch with the council who told me collections can happen anytime up until 10pm.

Obviously bin is still outside and still full.
