Maroon Sailor

Sky Sports News just interviewed Craig Wilson rally organiser outside Tynie

Gave a good interview - not an easy thing to do especially when it's going out live to the nation. He was probably bricking it inside but he done well - fair play to him

The auction items at today's rally raised a total of ?24,000

Not including tickets and bar takings. An incredible total.

I love this football club and my fellow supporters!

How much did Gowzers boots go for?

?700.

I think Thomas Flogel's 1998 Scottish Cup final shirt raised ?2,000 and Stephane Adam's shirt from the same game raised ?1,700.

The total has been revised to ?25,000 from the auction, the raffle raised ?7,000, tickets were ?20 a head (so 300 * ?20 = ?6,000), so all in all it looks like the overall total will be around ?40,000+.

Brilliant work from all concerned. At this rate McGlynn will be drawing up a list of signing targets for January.

the overall total will be around ?40,000+.

Given the amount of money already contributed by our magnificent support, forty grand + is a colossal sum to add to the totaliser. Never a truer word was written by William Reid in 1924 about our great club and is repeated in my signature below.
