mullen13
My old brick of a phone had broken so my mate has given me an old i-phone that takes the old sims. It won't let me switch it on or at least it says the SIM is not compatible but it did seem to work for 2-3 days when I originally used it before I did a factory reset. When I went to the apple store they reset it but they said it was locked to some American network called AT and T or something similar. Apparently you need to unlock it on their website but it requires you to enter an American ZIP code or cell phone number. He bought it in America and it worked with his vodaphone sim here and my 3 sim for a couple of days anyway. Would one of these wee unlock shops be able to do it for me you think? How much would it cost?
Dazo
Sounds like it was unlocked via a jailbreak which obviously got wiped when reset it. You need to jailbreak it again then unlock from there.
Rab
If you call ATT they'll unlock it.
makateer
Have you tried putting a zip code into the site?
