topoarthursseat Posted August 2, 2012 Share Posted August 2, 2012 I always like to take in one good show during the Edinburgh Festival and I am delighted I have managed to secure a ticket to this years "Hot Gig " . GLOATFEST showing at the 1902 Arena on the Glorious 12th has been running daily since the 19th of May and is now culminating in a performance featuring a cast of thousands , at one end , and empty seats at the other . It tells the story of how a young refugee from the Czech Republic arrives on our shores carrying only his football boots and a bellyfull of hope .Having no money he is enticed into the dark side of Edinburghs underworld and is befriended by a Jakeball from the Ferryboat Bar who then double crosses him . Rudi triumphantly has his revenge on the biggest stage in front of a worldwide audience while his adversary retreats to the toilet featured in the hit movie"Trainspotting ".
