Gav Aitchison
Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but does anyone know..... Before Andy Webster (2010 & 2012), who was the last player to win the Scottish Cup with two non-Old Firm teams?
Sydney
Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but does anyone know..... Before Andy Webster (2010 & 2012), who was the last player to win the Scottish Cup with two non-Old Firm teams? I don't know, but I do have another question: Before last season, when was the last time all six major trophies in England and Scotland were won by different teams, with Man Utd and Rangers not winning any of them? I.J
I was going to say Rudi, but then I read it properly. That'll be the drink. Did Pressley no play for United when they beat Rangers 1-0?

No. Pressley won with Rangers, Hearts and Celtic. Don't know the answer to the original question though

Gav Aitchison
1997-98? Think Ar$enal did the double that year.
Stanley_
Think Ar$enal did the double that year. Celtic won two as well. I only looked at the "Man Utd and Rangers didn't win a trophy" part.
Stanley_
Steve Banks surely? Yeah, unused sub in 2010 and 2006. I wonder who the last one was to actually play in two.
Allowayjambo1874
looked back and unless Steve banks is confirmed i don't think a player has won two Scottish cup winner medals with two non old firm clubs post war.
Gav Aitchison
Hadn't thought of Banks, but good shout. On the other question, must be late 70s or early 80s, when Man Utd were rubbish and Aberdeen and Dundee U were winning stuff. 81/82 maybe?

Snake Plissken
With regard to the question of the last non-OF player to have won the Scottish cup with two different non-OF teams... I think you've to go back a long, long way to find it. Since 1960 the following non-OF teams have won the cup 1961 - Dunfermline 1968 - Dunfermline 1970 - Aberdeen 1982, 83 and 84 - Aberdeen 1986 - Aberdeen 1987 - St Mirren 1990 - Aberdeen 1991 - Motherwell 1994 - Dundee United 1997 - Kilmarnock 1998 - Hearts 2006 - Hearts 2011 - Dundee United 2012 - Hearts I looked back as far as 1982 and couldn't find any matches. Allowayjambo1874
On a similar vein has any non old firm winner also lifted fa cup? Jim leighton and strachan come to mind but not sure. Mccan didn't.

A couple of players from the Hearts team of 1956 won the FA cup: Dave Mackay won the FA cup three times. Alex Young won it with Everton in 1966. Gav Aitchison
Didn't Martin Buchan lift both as captain? With Aberdeen in 1970 and with Man Utd in 1977?
