We got a new dog three weeks ago (called Rudi), she is due her two sets of jags. First ones today.

What is peoples opinions of yearly boosters though? Are they really needed or is it just a way for the vet's to get their holiday money?

We never got the boosters for our last dog but I just wanted to get peoples thoughts on it.

Thank you.

I always had to keep my cats jags up to date even though they were house cats or they weren't allowed in the cattery when I went on holiday.

I do it for peace of mind, I'm not away this year so no Kennel Cough this year.

There are vets very money driven, even down to the food they try to guilt you into buying, our last was hellish for it, even though the food they recommended gave Luka the scoots they still tried to get us to buy it.

I'm on the pet plan with Thistle vets for ?9 a month or so. Gives you all the boosters, 2 checkups a year as well as flea/worm tablets.

Better safe than sorry and for ?9 a month I'm not going to complain.

Money making scheme.

Best just let it get sick and suffer.

Or even better, pass things onto others dogs.

Might as well save the cash.

These are our vets and I like them.

I'll enquire about it.
