SUTOL
Give me three good reasons why it would be a good idea? In fact, give me ONE good reason why i'd possibly want to consider switching to Ukio? Maybe you could tell me what types of accounts and other products they offer. I'll then tell you a good reason to use them over some other banks.
Erik
Maybe you could tell me what types of accounts and other products they offer. I'll then tell you a good reason to use them over some other banks. You've just answered the question you asked me then. All this 'i'll be switching with immediate effect' chat without knowing the slightest bit about their accounts products or anything else is EXACTLY why it would be stupid to do so. Independence
I'm going to stick with the bank I've been with for 20 odd years. I see no point in changing now only to change back when the branch closes in a couple of years. Not like you to be 'anti anything that involves Mr Romanov'. Any investment is welcome! What will Mr Romanov do next...who knows but in my opinion on this one he has played a blinder. How come the monkeys were not aware of this ? All this 'i'll be switching with immediate effect' chat without knowing the slightest bit about their accounts products or anything else is EXACTLY why it would be stupid to do so. Since you don't know what products or services or interest rates they offer, then you can hardly say it would be stupid to use them. In fact, it would be rather stupid to say it would be stupid, if you don't know the facts.
ToadKiller Dog
Just being realistic Boris. Poor Ukios will go the way of the St James Centre Hearts Superstore. Fail. Depends if it wants to be a high street bank and compete with Santander ,HSBC and those struggling state owned UK banks then yes it likely will fail , but if it is used for cross country investement and taps into the many young Lithuanian and Baltic workers and possible bosnian etc as his bank has tie ups with other eastern european banks , that come over here to find there fortune . It might just make it .

In fact, it would be rather stupid to say it would be stupid, if you don't know the facts. I can say that it would be stupid to say you WILL use them without knowing what they will offer you in terms of product. Signing up to a bank you know nothing about purely on the basis of it's connection to hearts is stupid. You can't argue against that I'm afraid. My point remains the same. The number of folk who say they will switch and the number who actually do won't even be close.

SUTOL
I can say that it would be stupid to say you WILL use them without knowing what they will offer you in terms of product. Much the same way as it's stupid to say you would be stupid to use them without knowing what they will offer in terms of product. Signing up to a bank you know nothing about purely on the basis of it's connection to hearts is stupid. You can't argue against that I'm afraid. Is it as stupid as for example not drinking the beer that sponsers the shirts of your city rivals, etc? My point remains the same. The number of folk who say they will switch and the number who actually do won't even be close. Your point I was debating, was that it would be stupid to bank with Ukio. Not because you don't yet know what products they offer, not because they have a tenuous link to Hearts, you just said anyone would be stupid to bank with them. Footballfirst
The only direct link is that UBIG own over 8% of the shares in Ukio. 2 mins on the Ukio website shows this info. Monkeys can't use computers very well, can they. And I'm sure Ukio, at least did own a % of UBIG shares. Vlad owns a lot more than UBIG's 8% From the Ukio website http://www.ub.lt/en/...older-structure
The Mighty Thor
I was going to open an account but my mortgage provider wouldn't accept the Ukio Bankas Direct Debit guarantee of maybe paying what's due on the date it's due or maybe not depending on whether they can be arsed or not and then blaming it on everyone else if they can't. If you go onto their website and check then they offer favourable terms and their not in debt to the tune of ?50 squillion pounds so they are actually a safe haven in the dark enclaves of british banking. Radge21
King Vlad and Ukio Bankas will soon be saving the Euro. As well as getting rid of the corrupt monkeys at the SPL headquarters Vlads banks I would imagine will not invest money in trash Like the RBS. And the rest of the big UK banks. Other banks are trimming costs and branches. Vlad seems to be expanding. Edinburgh has a big east european population to tap into.
