Francis Albert
Can't make the link work but there is an interesting Guardian article (see culture section of their website and search Mat Hodgson) on a fly on the wall documentary on Flavio Briatore's four year reign as QPR owner. Extracts "Within minutes of the film's opening, [briatore] has described successive managers as "that ******* hooligan" and "that prick in the dugout"". The club chairman Gianni Paladini when questioned by a player about the club incomprehensibly loaning out it's leading scorer says "it's not me, innit". "Club director Alejandro Agag sums up the attitude of the boardroom to the [managers]: "if there was an idiot, we found him". Paladini and Briatore seem to assume by speaking in Italian they won't be understood "Hence, perhaps the damning sequence where the pair discuss, sotto voce, the best way to get instructions to the manager mid-game without anyone noticing" The film's director, Mat Hodgson, credits the internet with giving fans the backroom knowledge that means "there is an audience for a film largely set in finance meetings". Maybe a bit tame compared to "The Romanov Years" ...
