I remember Smith and Rough both had a half each in goals, and I also think Alan Lawrence played (he was at Meadowbank at the time). Anyways, it got me thinking. Who would be in an Edinburgh select team now? Is there ANYONE in the Hibs line-up worth a game? Off the top of my head: In the 2000's I'd have: Gordon Whittaker Fyssas Pressley Webster Brown Hartely Thomson Skacel O'Connor Jankauskas In the 1990's I'd have: Rousset Flogel Naysmith Sauzee McPherson D Ferguson Latapy Fulton Cameron Jackson Robertson In the 1980's I'd have Goram Kidd Whittaker Levein Jardine Mackay Black Collins Colquhoun Robertson Clark Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I went along in the mistaken belief that there might be a few Hearts' players involved as Sandy Clark was the coach for the game but, from what I can remember, it was all - or predominantly - Hobo fringe players who turned out for "us"...
