But what's everyone's views on the best Hearts side, would it be the class of 1986, 1998 or 2006? I would pick 1986 not because of the skill, but because it was all home grown players and also because Robbo and Mackay were my favs, skill wise it would be a tough choice between the class of 1998 and 2006. Should have won the league but for some incredible decisions by Messrs Romanov and Brines. The 1998 side gave me the best day of my life. I had almost given up on seeing Hearts lift a trophy. But I feel more attached to the 1986 side. Within 3 or 4 years Doddie turned things around from the worst team in living memory to one that feared nobody.
