Troops out of Iraq this year

USA to remove all troops from Iraq later this year.

That should cause an internal tribal war as they fight to fill the vaccum.

Ah, well, a trillion dollars well spent in my book. Cant think of anything else the world could have spent it on.

At least the families of all the dead and injured soldiers can rest assured that their kids, brothers, husbands and fathers made a huge sacrifice for a struggle that was clearly well worth it. Thanks George, Dick, Tony, little Johnny. Mission acomplished.

jack D and coke

I done a bit of work for a guy who done security out there and he told me there are so many warring tribes and clans it's unreal. Also likened trying to train their police to take over their own affairs was like handing out machine guns to kids in a playground. Serious bloodshed for years over there yet.

Iran and Iraq united with all the arms and training the coalition provided will be a formidable foe. But at least our lads will be killed by good efficient weapons. A pox on all warmongers.

As a matter of fact it is one of the concerns. It is a known fact that Iran have been supplying weapons to some of the dissidents in Iraq. It is a fear that when all foreign troops have departed one of those dissident groups may take over the governing of the ountry and join with Iran in any hostilities they decide upon. It is also a known fact that the outside military entities have supplied and trained the Iraqi army with a view to them maintaining peaceful control on the departure, there is about as much hope of that as a constructive criticism on JKB.

There's a difference between Iran fueling sectarian warfare in Iraq and them joining them in a military alliance "united with all the arms and training the coalition provided".

What you're suggesting is laughable, the Kurdish lead democratic government will continue to fight the psychopathic Islamist gangs and they'll beat them with the support of the Iraqi people.
