When John Hughes gives an interview to the TV is it just me that thinks he sounds as thick as two short planks?

John Hughes is an uncomplicated man. Good manager as it turns out. Shame he couldn't do it for the shite.

He Who Cannot Be Named

The level of elocution displayed by people like John Hughes tells you everything you need to know about their lack of IQ.

I'm being pedantic I know, but I think it's the level of diction not elocution. Regardless he doesn't appear to be a genius!

I stand corrected.

I stand corrected.

However, if Yogi was to make either point i'm sure it would read rather differently

Shite post. He sounds like a lot of people in this country, maybe not the best speaker but that's a pretty shite attitude relating that to his intelligence.

He seems like a real genuine man with a good respectful attitude and likes his teams to play decent football.

No I also think that, I do a decent impression of him btw.

Seems a decent guy though, just makes me laugh when I here him talking on the radio/TV.

I agree he doesn't talk the best game but that's not a direct indicator of his intelligence.

Seems an ok guy and a good manager.

Danny Lennon is another one who appears to have some difficulty with the English language. However safe to say that both are miles behind the wordsmith that is Charlie Nicholas.

I don't mind Hughes. Can't recall him being anything other than good natured about Hearts and the derby rivalry. Never met him but he comes across as good bloke.

Funny too the way he pronounces the name of one of his former employees: Celtuck.

That's nonsense, you dont judge a man on the way he speaks, John Hughes is a lot of things, but stupid isn't one of them. Your statement says much more about your IQ than his.

Are you referring to the 'English' language that is broadcast by the BBC or do you mean the Scots dialect that is spoken in Edinburgh and especially around Leith?

My maternal grandparents spoke Lallans and I suspect they would not be understood by the majority who are brought up on Eastenders estuary speak.

Yogi is a good lad apart from his ER leanings.

One of my all time favourite pictures!

I'm with you on that one.

Hughes is a bit of a joke figure but clearly he's no fool and a capable coach/manager.

Yogi is thick as mince and I wish him luck in emptying Sellik and meeting Falkirk in the Scottish Cup Final 2015.

Happy for any manager or player who does well after them (unless it's against us).

Tells us something about them, I reckon.
