the date really says it all, so were going to be in edinurgh for about 9am, sue to silly early morning flights :whistling: and just wondered if any of you locals could help me out, spot of breakfast and then go to bar before heading to tynecastle....

The Mercat, West Maitland Street.

 

Expensive, try the Koffee Pot in Gorgie Road, then Stratties across the road from it.

Got taken over a while ago, went once and that was it..

 

Brothers cafe on Gorgie Rd is nice and not too expensive.. Big breakfast about ?6...

The Kofffee Pot is absolutely horrendous! Customer service is non existent. Disgusting actually.

 

7 brothers cafe is lightyears better.

Koffee Pot ?1.75 for a bacon roll, would rather pay for a decent full English/Scottish in The Mercat.
