269miles Posted August 13, 2011 Share Posted August 13, 2011 Actually to be hand ball your hand needs to be in an unnatural position Not quite : deliberate handball is obviously a penalty but refs also take the view that if your arms are in an' unnatural position' that is also a penalty because you have obstructed the path/flight of the ball by , for example, deliberately extending your arms from your sides or above your head.
