Injury Update

Anyoe know the latest on:

Webster

Tauoil

Obua

Suso

Kyle

Mehdi Taouil (sorry to be pedantic, but can we spell it correctly please!?!) was told 3 weeks when he 1st got injured and that was the Rangers game. He did the full preseason and I think is quite a naturally fit guy so won't need much fitness rehab once the groin's feeling better. I guess he might be a fortnight away from playing?

Kyle was quoted as aiming for the Hibs game but that was a couple of weeks ago with no news since if it'll be longer or sooner.

Webster is seeing a specialist this week so we won't know till he has his results. He has taken his pretty pollies to a seamstress to see if she can help. Hopefully she can.

Obua and Sussudio, no clue.

Was up yesterday. Only caught last half hour of training. Webster and Suso training seperately, then Paulo had a talk with Webster. Suso starts full training on monday. For what it's worth...training looked really good...and a few of the young lads involved aswell. When training was done, Paulo stood for a while taking to four of the young lads, explaining stuff to them etc. Looks like he knows what he's doing!

Lynn :ninja:

From Webster thread.

We REALLY need Webster. Defensively we are gash and really need him in there - especially for the next 2 games. I think he would be even better playing under Sergio's rule - his fitness is well commented on but he can play the ball from the back on the deck which will appeal to our new style. Beats lumping it forward aimlessly......

Maybe it's me looking for the best in people, but i don't buy-in to the whole 'psycological issue' that most seem to take as gospel. Some players seem to just be injury prone and i doubt Webster would have contemplated coming back, taking the piss and then having to deal with the ensuing flak when he could have gone elsewhere and got zero flak.

Webster will be fit for the weekend and the Tottenham games. After that, not sure.

I laughed at this!

The first time you said it.

What's that? You want me to give your Tottenham ticket to your brother.

KAY.

I didn't really see a lot of this in the few games he's played for us since he returned. His passing generally seemed to be a shortish ball to one of the other back 4 players who was in no better a position to do anything with it than he was.

Its unbelievable the casualty list we always seem to have. :(

Add to that above injured list with potentially Webster Taouill Kyle Suso Obua being out and Black suspended thats 10 players out. With Wallace Ruben both Thompsons and Bouzid away we are really getting stretched and its only the start of the season.

Fair point although i am probably basing this more on his previous stint/time at utd. I don't think it's a secret that JJ was keen to play long (not a critisism, it was his style and it worked to a point).

I think Hamill could fill in at left-back, if required.

Hopefully, both Hamill and Grainger make it for Saturday.

"I also don't have Grainger today. His wife is expecting a baby, so I had to let him stay with her in the hospital!"

It's all went a bit quiet regarding Kevin Kyle.

Has he had a setback? Thought he was stepping up his training a couple of weeks ago with an eye on the Hibs game.

We've been told it will be the end of the month. I guess unless we hear different... No news is good news with our injuries. The club will be struggling to deal with all the other stuff going on. Injury updates will be on the back burner. He'll be doing his running in doors at the mo.

Was doing a u-turn out of a traffic jam on Monday afternoon at the entrance to the Edinburgh Clinic on Colinton Road and came face to face with Jamie Hamill in his Beemer so may well have been there receiving treatment for a football injury.
