RoyCropper
Kris Boyd. According to Chick Young. Makes a mockery of the whole thing really. It should be the biggest honour of your career to play for your country no matter what. Throwing your toys out the pram isnt acceptable. We dont need egos who think they are bigger than their National team. This should go for everyone. As soon as a player says he doesnt want selected for his country, that should be it. Completely case closed.
Ryan Gosling
Boyd has already played for Scotland under Levein. He's not been selected because he's not been playing!
Sten Guns
Boyd can GTF. He is pash. Good against Hamilton, St Mirren etc tho.
Gigolo-Aunt
I thought he got a Scotland return but was a stone overweight and played pish? Is he on another Scotland self enforced exile? This is getting rather confusing.

Gigolo-Aunt
Yes, but came back for a game under Levein in a friendly against the Czechs. And played against a team in the qualifying group. The team we came fro behind against and won 2-1 - last minute goal? Think Boyd and McFadden never covered themselves in glory that night.
Chad Sexington
Yes, but came back for a game under Levein in a friendly against the Czechs. He played up front with McFadden against Lichtenstein. They were both absolutely appalling and have never played since.

plastic_bas
Out of the all the pathetic Scotland feuds of recent times, the Boyd one angered me the most. He took advantage of the misfortune of a fellow teammate (in this case Iwelumo's miss V Norway) in order the gain more sympathy from the media and fans. If Iwelumo tucks home his chance and Scotland win 1-0 then it's an inspired substitution by Burley. Would Boyd have quit under those circumstances? I very much doubt it. I think Levein is trying pick players based on their attitude rather than ability at the moment. There is no doubt Boyd is our best natural finisher. I think by moving to Turkey proves he is a little more career focused than in previous years. Maybe why Levein's tempted to bring him back.
