Diego10 Posted August 4, 2011 Share Posted August 4, 2011 Whilst I very much enjoyed the unwashed getting knocked out in Sweden last night, and the ref was 100% correct to send him off, the Whittaker sending off did leave me feeling a bit disillusioned with the modern day footballer. Rolling around holding your face after getting brushed on the shoulder seems to be par for the course in the game these days. When I was growing up if you got hit you tried to shrug it off and look like you weren't hurting. Surely the time has come for people to be pulled up for this sort of nonsense? I'm talking about looking like a prize tool, rolling around the ground like you've been hit in the eye with a phillips screwdriver. where's their self respect?
